We tried out 3 WR's yesterday. Presumably for Corley's job.

@Orion said:Perhaps we would want the Bengals over the Ravens, which would get the Ravens to two conference losses...like the rest of us. I don't see the Saints having a snowball's chance of winning. The Steelers are just too lucky a team to lose a game like this. You're right. The Steelers are luckiest bunch I've ever seen.

@syd said:Who could replace Julian Sayin in 2027? These are Ohio State's top transfer portal QB optionsThese quarterbacks could be available for Ohio State in the transfer portal if Julian Sayin isn't coming back in 2027, and if Luke Fahey and Tavien St. Clair don't work out.ByAndrew Hughes|Oct 22, 2026, 7:00 PM EDTOhio State Buckeyes quarterback Julian Sayin (10) yells from the line of scrimmage during the NCAA football game against the Indiana Hoosiers at Memorial Stadium Stadium in Bloomington, Ind. on Oct. 17, 2026. | USA TODAY Network via Reuters ConnectPat Narduzzi on Pitt’s QB Future, Transfer Impact & ACC Championship Goals | Sports IllustratedOhio State has a present Julian Sayin problem after the quarterback was knocked out of the Indiana game with a throwing shoulder injury in Week 7. OSU may also have a future Sayin problem. It's unclear when Sayin will be back in the fold, or, quite frankly, if he'll be back in the fold ever again. We know he won't be back for a while, at best.If being a high first-round NFL draft pick is still an option for Sayin this coming April, the Buckeyes don't seem to have a long-term Plan B in the quarterback room right now. It was supposed to be Tavien St. Clair, but Luke Fahey ripped the QB2 job from him. Is Fahey ready for this opportunity to save the program this season, though? What about beyond that? Is he championship material? If neither Fahey nor St. Clair can put Ohio State in a position to win in 2027, and Ryan Day knows that heading into the transfer portal window in January, here are some proven veteran options he can pursue.Oregon State's Braden AtkinsonEveryone will have their eyes on Oregon State quarterback Braden Atkinson's movements in the transfer portal. After transferring from Mercer, Atkinson has 2,604 total passing yards and 24 passing touchdowns so far this season. That leads the FBS.Thus far, Atkinson has struggled a bit against man coverage, even with freshman phenom Jesse Legree, who is accounting for 1,040 of those yards and 14 of those touchdowns. That wouldn't necessarily be alleviated with the talented receiving corps the Buckeyes have. Ohio State is a few portal losses and de-commitments away from no longer having the "WRU" talent of the Brian Hartline era.Still, Atkinson has such a big arm and has dominated so thoroughly with the talent around him in Corvallis that Day and Arthur Smith would have to do their due diligence. If Smith could work with Sayin to improve his mobility and willingness to use his legs, perhaps he could help Atkinson become more of a playmaker besides slinging it downfield.Texas' Arch ManningThis would be a much more exciting option, fit-wise, with Smith's play-calling. Of course, the price tag for Arch Manning may be enormous after he took a discount for the 2026 season in Austin, and if Texas continues to lose, perhaps the Longhorns would cut bait with Steve Sarkisian and do everything to keep Manning for the 2027 season. If Manning becomes available, though, Columbus is an intriguing fit. Manning has said he prefers big cities to smaller college towns, after all.Would Manning be worth the gamble, though? It feels like a sacrilegious thought for Arch to leave the SEC blueprint, and the Buckeyes will lose plenty of the veteran offensive linemen currently powering protection.Minnesota's Drake LindseyThis may be the sweet spot.Drake Lindsey has a great frame at six-foot-five and isn't getting the same hype as Atkinson's play or Manning's last name. He'll probably come at a cheaper price point and has plenty of reps in the Big Ten at this point. Added bonus: he's beaten TTUN.Drake Lindsey is an interesting name. But I think he would do well to stay serve at Minny.

I see the AFC North up for grabs. Still can't believe the stealers are 4-2. Keep on winning everything will take care of itself. Brownies have had some nice drafts and it shows.Be careful with the Titans they are tricky and jobs are on the line

@Dutch-Oven said:Do you think that Sanders coming in, and the offense being able to run more under center, would possibly open up the offense more and make it more diverse, or do you think there's probably a very good reason that Watson is the starter for the foreseeable future?I'm sure there are trade-offs. Sanders spent as much, if not more time, in gun than Watson did. There's no guarantee the young arm comes in and the under center game works. But I've seen/heard a lot of fan complaints that Watson is the cause of us not being UC.That isn't so much the case. It's a component to it, but this team struggles to function UC for a few glarring reasons. Beyond the QB, the most obvious have been how we fail to process and pickup gap exchanges post snap; the B gap puncture pressures & stunts from the of ball LB's is a great example. We've rarely exectued wide zone to it's full effect because our backside cut has been so often taken away because of piss-poor play from Tytus Howard. You know Kyle Shanahan is my favorite Coach in the NFL. It's something I've been getting at for the last 10 years or so as he has lead the way - getting back UC helps improve the dynamic functions of the running game while naturally elevating the effectiveness of the play action game. The NFL has responded with it's largest year over year jump in UC usage in a long time. Our next QB MUST function UC.

But he's got to prove that did major damage in the long run. Only a top notch surgeon can testify to that or he's barking up a tree. My nephew had to prove that a misdiagnosis twice of his wive's pulmonary embolism caused her death in an ambulance on the way back to ER a third time. It took a top notch diagnostician to prove that in court for him to receive a proper $$ compensation since she was a local judge who's high income was lost forever.

One of the most notable things about Jaleel is he is the reigning NCAA career rushing champion with 8,166 rushing yards that he compiled at 2 programs. He spent 2 years at the now defunct Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio, and 3 years at Youngstown State, so it’s only fitting he wound up on the Browns.Originally from Marshville, NC, he had a tough go of it growing up. Single mom and 3 siblings, and at one point his mom lost her factory job of 10 years and they ended up being homeless for a time when he was in middle school. At one point they were living out of a Ford Focus in a McDonalds parking lot. That’s a very small car for 4 people. They ended up moving in with a relative, and at that point a fire got lit under Jaleel’s ass and he dedicated his efforts into sports. His first love was basketball, but he’s a short guy listed just under 5’8”, so fair chance he wasn’t going to make the NBA. He also starred in track and football in high school. He had no D1 offers out of high school, and the college offers he did have were from schools who wanted him to play defensive back due to his size. But Jaleel wanted to run with the rock and he stuck to his guns about that, so he went with Notre Dame College because they were willing to let him do just that. And the rest is literally history. But despite his collegiate accolades, he went undrafted in the 2023 draft. He was later signed as a UDFA by the Denver BroncosHe spent 3 years with them as a backup back and had some success rushing for 1,093 yards on 226 carries, which is a tick above 4.8 ypc. Pretty good! But despite that, he saw his usage decline in 2025 and was eventually non-tendered before the 2026 season. Apparently he was seen as less good at pass protection and special teams compared to his competition. But when one door closes, another opens, and the Browns seem to like signing former Bronco running backs (Reuben Droughns, Mr. Madden Peyton Hillis, and recently Audrick Estimè) so we signed him. He was interviewed a couple weeks ago and listens to “Dream On” by Aerosmith before taking the field, and the night before games he eats 7 chicken wings, 4 barbecue and 3 mild. I hope he earns enough money in the NFL to buy his mom her own McDonalds franchise so she can say “look who’s McLaughin’ now.”https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaleel_McLaughlinhttps://www.news5cleveland.com/sports/next-man-up/next-man-up-browns-rb-jaleel-mclaughlin-has-local-football-roots-enjoys-working-out-and-singing-some-adele?fbclid=IwdGRleAVDQNhleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBwZG9mBWZkaWQWUQltHp50UjvdM3VGQgT1HanHZO5XpnNydGMGYXBwX2lkCjY2Mjg1NjgzNzkAAR5W2GkgHjLkfZWiEGCky807Jqbt41Ob549ktVrcO9v_Ldsbh_vZdu0e8Qshgg_aem_W_Jf3tPv5rrfUm4v8XyhwA

So, WE WON! Because we held the league's #3 rushing attack to 87 yards. Of course they didn't have their starting QB, who is their 2nd leading rusher. Still though, you've got to hand it to our D. Practice squad guys helping out in the interior of the DLine, Delpit going out and Schwesinger playing hurt and getting us a BIG turnover with the strip fumble. Yup, you've gotta hand it to our D. - This win keeps us alive for the division crown race. I don't see how we can possibly win it with the play of our OLine, which is making our QB play a tentative brand of football. But hey, as long as we're in it, we ain't out of it! (where's Yogi Berra)
