My original answer for the first Q was going to be Willie Mays. (but honestly I don't think that is right)

and on the second, now that I think about it, it may have been Horace Gillom. That may have been a question I have used in the past

    .

Both wrong the answer to the first was a first baseman

the answer to the second was way before Horace Gillom..............

I guess I don't know either then. At this point anything would be a pure guess. But, do I get a smiley face for the effort? 😍

I just read that we almost became the Cleveland Panthers in 1945, but a local businessman claimed he had the rights to that name, so the rest is history. 1950 is the year we Joined the NFL.

OK Browns fans, you need to show us that you all, unlike the majority of the fools from the Hills (Steeler fans) know your Browns history. Here are some trivia questions on that subject. With a several of these I tried to mirror the questions that I asked about the Steelers. Please don't cheat by googling. Show that you can do well on these on your own and that you know something about your team:

    1. What year did the Browns join the NFL and what other AAFC teams came with them?

    2. Who was the original owner of the Browns, and what sort of business was he in?

    3. In 1965, a helmet logo was designed for use by the Browns, but were never used:

    A. What did that logo look like?

    B. Who led the revolt against the use of that logo?

    4. Who did the Browns play in their very first postseason game?

    5. When and to whom did the Browns lose their first postseason game?

    6. Name at least 3 entities that Paul Brown coached before becoming the coach of the Browns.

    7. The Cleveland Browns football team was not the only sports franchise to use that name. What were the other "Cleveland Browns"?

    8. How many losing seasons did Paul Brown and Blanton Collier have between them?

    9. Who was the youngest person to become the Head Coach of the Browns, and who was the oldest?

    10. What team or teams have the Browns played the most in post season play?

    11. What percentage of the Browns did Art Modell actually own? Who owned the rest?

Bonus: Paul Brown was a backup QB in high school. The QB he backed up became famous as a member of a particular "group" with a specific "nickname" What "group" was that?
