you might be knowledgeable about football and weight lifting but your wit and sense of humor leave something to be desired.
i guess you learn that later in life.

Well, you've got thirty or so years head start on me... I assume I'll catch up. And thank you for the compliment, however backhanded it may have been.
I'm sure you're a real Chevy Chase.
Meanwhile, stop pining for Barkley simply because he's been groomed in the WCO. Outside of that, he doesn't have too many redeeming qualities.
What's the common denominator in the consistent playoff contending AFC North QB's?
Size and strength.
What's the one thing our last playoff (or near playoff, rather) QB had?
Size and strength.
Unfortunately, Anderception was football Retarded and couldn't hit the broadside of a barn on anything other than a deep fly.
Weeden has the size and strength to get the ball down the field, something we've rarely experienced since 2000. And he also seems to have a good head on his shoulders.
Personally, I'm tired of this dinking and dunking. We're too good of a football team for that. (GASP)
It's time to put on the big boy pants and go deep.

^agree 100%. i liked DA only because he could throw the ball deep. too bad that didn't equate to football knowledge. DumbAs a rock.
i'm hoping that we'll see a little more wide open version of the WCO that these guys insist on coaching and playing.
BTW i'm no chevy chase. i'm a lot funnier.
he sucks.
BTW: it's not that i think weeden sucks it's just the fact that holmgren has the need to draft a AQB every other year. AND i too think barkley is over rated.
IMO i think the pats and the giants and even the steelers have the blueprints for success in drafting in the NFL. too bad we'll never have anyone in the FO that knows how to read them.
and this is from a guy who loved heckert's first 2 drafts.

USC QBs are icky
FACT

Weeden is a better quarterback than Flacco already, and might be better than Dalton.
Since this is a passing league - go read the ColdHardFacts website if you doubt - the QB is by far the most important position on the field in determining wins/losses. Although I would have liked to see someone better at 22 and pick up Weeden in the second, I'm very happy Weeden's on the team.

I'm excited to see our offense with Weeden at the helm, but lets let them play a few games before we start proclaiming that Weeden is better then other proven (somewhat) QB's. As of right now we have the worst QB in the division (if you don't believe me compare Weeden's NFL stats compared to Flacco, Dalton, and BR.) Weeden will get his chance to prove himself but until he does lets not say things we have no stats to backup.

Thats more dependent on Shumur then Weeden. I'm not sure if Shumur knows you can throw the ball more then 8 yards down the field.
