No deal like that would be made unless it is for a QB.

Yep, that's pretty much what I said. As good as Garrett looks, there's no way. Especially for a team that is RIGHT there. Can you imagine getting a winning record AND having TWO first round picks? Hell no. Well, we can't imagine a winning record, but that's besides the point.

Here is something interesting on a related note: Only twice in history so far have two players selected in the First round by the same team both made the Hall of Fame:

1965 Chicago Bears, both Dick Butkus and Gale Sayers taken in round one.

1995 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both Warren Sapp and Derrick Brooks taken in round one

It WILL happen one other time soon:

1996 Baltimore Ravens Jonathan Ogden.....already in the HOF...and Ray Lewis will make the HOF when he is eligible.

(also note: in checking, I see no possible HOF 1st round duos since those 1996 Ravens. The closest/best duo to be taken in round one were the combo of Vince Wilfork and Ben Watson by the Pats)

If we take both Garrett and OJ Howard, we might punch that ticket.
