  • To be fair, Republicans do the same thing all the time when they have majority in Congress and are wanting to put someone in the Supreme Court. Nominating and confirming Justices is the prerogative of whoever currently holds power in the Presidency and in Congress.

    I gather president Obama did suggest her retirement during his term which would have been, in hindsight, a significantly better outcome for Democrats than what they got.

  • It's a good thing lowly representatives whose only qualifications are that a bunch of fools found them more attractive than some other fool don't have the power to dictate the supreme court.

    You get what you pay for, man. At the end of the day, regardless of party affiliation, the buck stops with the electorate who puts these fools in office and keeps them in office.
