None.  Should be none.  Coach stepped in and put hands on a player.

You want to get involved in the pile? You can get knocked TF out too.  That's why none of the KC players will be talking about it after the game, because they would agree.

you really think the commish will see it that  way ?

Nope. Harrison is screwed and I'm furious with him. So what, somebody pushed you. Ref threw the flag. Would've been huge penalty. But no...he HAD to act like a child. What a joke. How many atrocious mistakes can one team make?

  • I did have a bet on the game..and I lost that.

Cleveland had a great gameplan....run at our smallish interior line....use play action....very very effective.  Mayfield looked great.  your run game was rolling.

Cleveland is the team that is kind of zigging when everyone else is zagging....KC is NOT equipped this year to handle a strong run oriented team with a mauling line.  Last year we had Mike Pennel in the middle...he isn't much to talk about, but on KC's line, he was a key piece that helped stop the run because he was big and hard to move.  KC is tarting Tershawn Wharton at DT...the dude is 250.  KC is built to get a lead and rush the passer.  Not, to get behind and have to endure a mauling like that.  perfect plan.

I won't even say missing honeybadger had anything to do with it...that would have went pretty much the same as it did VS our D-line.

Our new O line was OK...seemed like the interior guys did allright.  Garrett was getting around Orlando Brown all game....which was still OK because Mahomes kept stepping up until that sack late in the game.

All in all...Cleveland had a couple of BACK BREAKING mistakes....and it cost you all in the end.

A couple things to consider...when you play Mahomes....you gotta be focused...KC is never out of a game as long as he's the QB.  You had us....and then suddenly, you didn't.

I watched all of the Buffalo / Pittsburg game today.  I bet many of you did also.  The Bills O line SUCKS.  The Bills D is allright but they couldn't get to big Ben.  Before the season, I would have had it in the AFC.

    1. KC

    2. Buff

    3. Cleveland.

After today...I'd put Cleveland at 2 (and would be at 1 if you won, but now KC has a very important tie breaker)  and you all are solidly no.2.

I am really looking forward to seeing what you guys look like against a more stout D line than what we roll out there with.

On a final note....I didn't see who won the toss today, but normally I am very happy to see KC kick first to get that important second half kick.....I think KC should reconsider that strategy given the design of our D.....we need to be playing from out in front...and maybe taking opening kicks and putting up the first 7 might have been better, especially VS Cleveland.

    Your team is impressive.

Should be some combination of KC or the league office firing that coach and KC getting fined some hundreds of thousands of dollars so that everyone is clear that shit never happens again.

It won't, but it should be.

The question to ask when evaluating these things is.. At what point did it seem like a good idea?

It is never a good idea…coaches, sideline officials or personnel or aquatic engineers…you aren’t in the game…so sit yourself out of the game.

I think the firing is a bit much.  A fine and suspension is more appropriate.  Not like he hit a fan.

He should be suspended. The fine is paid by the team

It was so stupid that I'm struggling to fathom what happened. So you're in full pads and some 45 year old coach pushes you in the shoulders? Big deal! It's football, there are pushes all game long! Jesus.

  • no better place for the tape

But first, turn your pretty head...

  • .......................................Rush / G.........................Pass / G..............................................Run D / G.........................Pass D / G........................................Give/Takeaways

    Browns 148 3rd 231 27th 8th 111 9th 248 22nd 9th +5
    Chiefs 112 16th 313 1st 5th 122 21st 236 14th 8th

    +6

So that was last season stats.  Below is what happened:

    US............................... ..112...................................196.....................................................123....................................315........................................................ -1

We didn't get our yards, they got theirs.  And of course we gave them 3 turnovers including the punt thingy.

Yeah.  KC put a long time consuming drive together, like we did at the outset of the game.  And we followed their drive with 3 plays and a fumble...which is worse than a 3 and out.  So, yeah, the game is played alllll afternoon long.  And you have to perform at a high level all afternoon, or else the opponent steals the momentum.

When we were bad, like in the Tim Couch days, we actually stole some wins because our opponent got a nice lead on us and just kind of fell asleep in the second half...and eventually we'd enter the 'panic time' of the game where we had to pass all the time...and we were pretty good at panic mode (because we were in it so often).  We'd score some points, our opponent would realize that 'Hey, we better get back to work'...but it was too late.  We had the momentum and they had sleepers in their eyes.  We stole a few games like that.  And we were basically a bad team.

We're not that bad team anymore.  So, now we cannot allow ourselves to fall asleep against anyone.  I'm not saying that we fell asleep against KC.  We just made mistakes.  But we cannot allow it to happen.

My all 22, second viewing went to our LB/FS/S coverage ?.. Even with the new additions.. PFF ranked us 27th..and we looked like it (verse one of the best corps in the NFL)..

Woods ain't trusting, JOk's vision to be in the right spots as of yet..and that's ok for a week 1 rookie.. Eric Kendricks to Deion Jones took some NFL coaching.. Mack Wilson ain't Wood's answer to better coverage either..hell! Mack Wilson had a clean shot at not letting Homie prance to endzone. To fall flat on his behind,(untouched) now on injury list with butt-hurt oblique..

JOK & Delpit just need to accept being coached up ?.. Mike backer Anthony Walker.. looked not the worst in coverage backer coverage play either.. He's just not that fast, compared to what he was trying to cover.. https://www.cleveland.com/browns/2021/09/can-rookie-jeremiah-owusu-koramoah-emerge-as-the-browns-no-2-linebacker-film-review.html

This week..Tyrod Taylor won't get caught eating his lunch in the Texans pocket waiting on our pass rush.. He's got some speed dump targets, we will be chasing...

    RB 2 INGRAM, MARK SF21 31 Johnson, David T/Arz 27 Phillips, Scottie CF20

Not sure there was a "pretty head" in the mix, but I catch your drift... 😉 ... great song....

For you youngenz out there... from long before Joe was an Eagle...

  • Back when he was playing bars in Kent...

  • Among other places from CLE's Agora Ballroom to Carnegie Hall... yes, that Caregie Hall... a highly sought after bootleg that became a mid-70s release... some of the boots were better recorded. The release is of almost intolerably poor quality.

    and boy

Yer Album's best tracks are covers. Thirds featured Walk Away a gang original that nearly was a breakout hit for them. But it's always been Rides Again  that srands out for me with its relentless drive. It wa the first LP I owned that proclaimed it was MADE TO BE PLAYED LOUD... did I ever... 😁

  • I love Joe Walsh  ( he's an analog man 🙂 ).  Songs For A Dying Planet is great, but gets no recognition.
