MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL - October 4 - LV +3.5 at LAC..... the BROWNS next opponent.

Herbert missed a wide open WR
Herbert missed a wide open WR
And I had WR Williams too.

-
Chargers doing a good job throwing cheese at the underneath Raiders defenders with these mesh concepts. Then sneaking a TE down the seam. Good play design.
-
We better heat up the pocket against the Chargers. Herbert can sling it. Ward better bring his big boy pants too every one of their WRs is big

I don't do Fantasy, but I did scout the game. Herbert consistently throws some of the most beautiful spirals I've ever seen. But his accuracy goes way down when pressured. Key #1, our D-line has to pressure him. #2 We have to contain Bosa.
#3 Chubb & Hunt time. #4 Baker had better rediscover his inner accuracy, or it could be a long afternoon.

Can't let Bosa get going, have to stay committed to the run game and ditch the empty sets. They just scream "screen" at this point.
You can ball control the bolts to death, but you have to want to do that and play patient. Eckler on our backers concerns me.

Agree on blitzing Herbert. You see Two different QBs and the ball placement is second to none with time and clean pocket. If we aren’t getting home with four we need to be quick about bringing another blitzer or two.
When the Schedule was released I thought advantage Browns…Chargers played two huge division games in row the last one on Monday Night. Next on the schedule a team that is content (hopefully) lining up and running 40-45 times.

Me 2. They isolate him on LBs in coverage and he has excellent hands. He is a very fine all-around RB.
The other two issues - Bakers shoulder and the west coast. A place the Brownies haven't historically played very well at.

Chargers have one less day to prepare than we do. They also have a bye week this coming weekend. Tough team to beat in LA. They seem to have created a good fan base there already based on the noise I was hearing (and I lost a lot of that in service?).
EDIT: And Bosa is everything all the OSU homers say he is. Have to come up with a workable plan for minimizing his impact.

not the best week for baker to get back on track. the chargers have i think the best pass D in the NFL. they have faced really really good offenses DAL, KC, LAR they only gave up 237 to Dak with 1 int, 260 to mahomes with 2 int and 196 and 1nt for Carr.
if baker can get 150 and no INT with the browns running game maybe they can squeak out a close game with how the D has been playing.

Bosa, baby bosa AND chase young are what we Buckeyes said they would be - absolute tacticians. Larry Johnson is one of the very best in the business.
