If you get a call with a call back number to stop it after saying X amount of money is being charged to your Amazon account, it ain't. That there is another favorite scam. My wife still writes down the damn numbers despite me telling her all I need to do is check the Amazon account and "X amount on money" will not be charged there.

Exactly. Now that Amazon has so many distribution centers it's a little bit different but I remember when the big shift came in music retail. X Y or Z online music store would just have the s*** drop shipped from the manufacturer. Your sales guy like you said was probably in an office building somewhere with Nary a guitar Within Reach. I buy a lot of stuff from Sweetwater and they have a huge distribution center in Indiana. Stuff gets here pretty damn quick. But they do drop ship as well.
