I guess he wanted to be famous for incredible advances in virus research, even if it ended up killing human beings, like he and they tortured and killed dogs in their research.
Sick, dangerous behavior.
Can you imagine communist china saying "see how our designer covid went all over the earth? Well, don't stop us from doing anything we want to do to take over our part of the world, or we will send another one to you that is lethal and dies out before it spreads out of your country"
