Aaron Rodgers Agrees to New Massive Deal...

The silver lining is that Pittsburgh didn't end up with either stud veteran QB that was *possibly* on the market for them to get.
And this draft isn't a great one to find one either.
I almost think Matty Ice makes sense for them...

Or any veteran QB with something left in the tank.
They were a playoff team with a veteran QB with nothing left in the tank.

What we just saw with Russell Wilson is going to the norm until it doesn't work. To say it simply, the Broncos didn't give up anything in the long-term if Wilson wins them a Super Bowl. This plan of cashing all your chips in for QB objectively worked in LA, we'll see how it goes in Denver. If Wilson plays at his usual level, Denver is very much set up to be a serious contender.
If Wilson does do that (win the super bowl), it's going to change the landscape of the QB position for a very long time.

Wilson goes from having DK and Lockett to Sutton...
See if Seattle will send us over DK...

Denver just openly admits to being unable to draft a QB.
Paton just pulled an Elway to get a rental, to stay competitive in the AFC West.

A rental is one maybe two years- is that what you think Russ is?

My 1st impression was "wow that's a lot of picks to give up," & I smiled, hoping Denver fades into oblivion. Can't stand 'em.
2nd impression is Denver is the luckiest team in NFL history so they'll improve.
Short term risk could pay off. I know Wilson had a finger injury & didn't play outstanding last season, missed some games. Only time will tell if it was a good gamble by Denver.
He’s 34…he’s a well documented student of game and he’s actually performed well without offensive line and a running game.
If he plays to his capabilities the next four years (reasonable view of things) Denver did well and they are a playoff team the next four years and a AFC Champ contender during this time.
You don’t really have the luxury to covet draft picks if you don’t have the right QB especially when Malik Willis is potential choice…Drew Lock taught them something obviously.
If I’m Denver my mild moan about this deal is losing a pretty darn good Russ target in Noah Fant.

Last season, I don't know about that. The numbers look good with 25 TDs & only 6 picks. 7 of the TDs came in the last 2 games.
DK Metcalf only had 976 yards for the season. Wilson started 14 games, so that seems odd to me.
At this stage in his career, I think he's going to have ups & downs. His moon -ball bomb should be effective at Mile High. I may be proven wrong, I think this is a huge huge risk by Denver.

Russ is on the downside of his career, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he plays a couple of more years and hangs it up.
I think it would also depend upon what type of success the Donks achieve.
Lets face it, the AFC west has a nice list of starting QB’s.

Wentz being traded to the Commandos! LOL!!

So he's going commando ! Somehow that's always funny a bit juvenile but funny.
Now to the real world and the MONOPOLY money they throw around, great gig if you have the ability to land it. Even kicker money isn't bad.
And the dough........
......Instead, they were able to get the Colts to accept their offer, and Wentz will now head to a former division rival in 2022. This means the Commanders will also pay the entire tab to acquire him: $28 million due in 2022 that includes a $5 million roster bonus when the league year opens on March 16. Should he remain in Washington beyond next season, the team will be on the hook for salaries of $20 million and $21 million, respectively, to the expiration of his contract following the 2024 season -- a contract put in place by the Eagles in 2019.......
Like a hotel on BOARDWALK only for real. $5M roster bonus what the heck is that anyway ?

"92.3"... first off, that's how I know it's garbage.
Secondly, the "I hear if XX goes right, it'll happen" Which means if it doesn't happen, (likely won't) these wannabe twitter "insiders" have way to brush it off and not look like jackasses by saying that things probably just fell through behind the scene. Since there was nothing concrete to begin with, they don't look anymore foolish than they should. How fucking convenient.

I would love this... But what would it take to get him?
The federal reserve. DK isn't going anywhere. Seattle is trading or cutting anyone expensive and sniffing 30. They're going for a long term rebuild.
Tyler Lockett might* be available...
Me, personally? I inquire about Poona Ford.

I could see it happen.
First, this QB draft class is pretty pedestrian.
Second, Mason Fucking Rudolph.
Thirdly, Watson fits the Steelers preferred rapey QB profile.

fuck ya he is fuck rogers he is all smoke and mirrors
I'm sorry, and maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but are you saying Baker Mayfield is a better QB than Q'aron Rodgers?
