Coolest QB who wore #12.

The Browns Board

  • Stabler got more chicks than Namath.  He elevated John Madden and faced the Steel Curtain.  Coolest.

  • I wonder if Jesus Christ ever learned how to hit a curve ball....

  • Madden was the Father, Stabler was the Son and Jack Tatum was the Holy Ghost.  Bo Jackson couldn't hit the curve.

Neither could Michael Jordan and he did try at it.  Besides necessary speed and basic athletic skills the professional curve ball is what separates  the  AAA and AA guys and the bigs.

Now I have to get myself ready for the Cleveland Gardenias  or is it Guardians especially in this money grabbing delay of the game.

GO TRIBE !  We can still say that right ?  No ?

  • Namath wanted to kiss Suzy Kolber.  Kenny would have got her on the first date if he dated pigs.  Stabler coolest #12 in a landslide.  Made the Hall of Fame right after he died.  What a disgrace.

Baseball was cool when you had Rickey Henderson and guys stealing 100 bases a year.  Metrics ended that.  Shame.  Guardians is garbage.  Guard my balls.

And don't forget our Cleveland INDIANS All Star Kenny Lofton back in the power years.

They brought the TRIBE back from the Major League days to the contenders year after year.

And not to drift off ot the cool #12 how about Robbie Alomar or Francisco Lindor ?

    Now back to football.

Mr. No Class shows why !

A stack of bills with the $1 on top,  probably going to  " make it rain "  somewhere.   Wasted 1st round draft pick in the BROWNS era of bad draft picks ........ you bet it was !

Moving right along from JFF hopefully for a long while.

  • Namath the coolest bar none, despite being from Pittsburg.

The topic should be who was the second coolest. Stabler gets my vote.

Eh..I guess it depends on how you define cool.

I loved the time some big D lineman picked him up and slammed him.  I believe it was way after the play was over.

Kenny Lofton was awesome.  True leadoff hitter.  No power, caught balls at the wall and could grab a bag.

Yeah, vs the Packers. McMahon never recovered from that cheap shot, basically ended his career.

McMahon who  wore #9 his whole career  had very few full seasons with 4 teams most notably the 1985 Bears era,

Injuries hampered his performance despite having Walter Peyton  and that tough "46" defense which produced ONE superbowl win and ONE funky team video.

    * EDIT !  Even though Jim McMahon was with 6 teams he didn't really play at all at GB and  AZ largely due to injuries.   After his football life he had a lot of other issues like some other football players had.  Some of these guys were old men at 40+ but almost all of them would say that they'd do it again.

That Bears '85 team was the best "one season" team I've ever seen, they rolled everybody except Miami.

Theres a great ESPN "30 for 30" about it & Buddy Ryan that's truly worth watching.

McMahon who  wore #9 his whole career  had very few full seasons with 4 teams most notably the 1985 Bears era,

Injuries hampered his performance despite having Walter Peyton  and that tough "46" defense which produced ONE superbowl win and ONE funky team video.

Buddy Ryan was as colorful and controversial as they come... That whole family is a special kind of wacko you just gotta love...

  • Namath wanted to kiss Suzy Kolber.  Kenny would have got her on the first date if he dated pigs.  Stabler coolest #12 in a landslide.  Made the Hall of Fame right after he died.  What a disgrace.
