In comparison to the ones I mentioned past seasons arent that much better than the Browns aif at all and most importantly the Browns are much better than them presently. Disagree? If so...which one you pick over the Browns? Jets?Jax? Wash?Texans?

That wasn't the question I posited to you nickers...  There's varying degrees of suckitude. Haslam isn't the worst owner in the NFL- not by a long shot. If you hate Jimmy, you had just better find another team to root for. Haslam has poured million$$ of his own money into stadium improvements, has generally learned from past mistakes. He's not going anywhere anytime soon.

I can add to Ia's list- skinflint Mike Brown down Cinci way who won't plug a nickel of his own money into the stadium. Only cold weather team without an indoor training facility.  Or would you prefer McNair who saw fit to have O'Brien coach\GM down Houston way, and now has a team chaplain as his GM? Systematically drove four starting pro bowlers out of town, made one of the worst trades in recent NFL history giving away Deandre Hopkins...That makes Ray Farmer look like a genius by comparison.  Indy has recovering? drug dependent Irsay running the show. Or gee- you could have the Vagabond Davises or carpetbagger Kroenke pull the Browns (ala Modell) out of town in search of greener pastures. Hey, while I'm at it, how 'bout dem Lions?

Is Bob Kraft a great owner because a lightning bolt hit him in the ass twice- first hiring Bill B, then getting The GOAT in the sixth round? So if you want to say the only qualification to becoming an NFL owner is having billions of dollars to buy into the Exclusive Club of 32, I might agree with you. Their relative performance once they're in the club varies greatly however.  🙂

& that's why he's still available nickers.  That's about $5 million a year too much. Clowney is still out there too, waiting for a big multi year payday.

BTW, we're paying Amari Cooper a ton of money, with a lot of it guaranteed. Berry had better be right about him too...

  • And the (un)official numbers,   I like to follow the numbers.   🙂

Landry joins a wide receiver group that now includes Michael Thomas and newly drafted Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave, who agreed to a four-year deal worth $19,271,874 on Friday according to his agents, Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey, of Rosenhaus Sports.

    Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter
Saints and first-round pick Chris Olave agreed to terms on a 4-year, fully-guaranteed $19,271,874 deal, per his agents @DrewJRosenhaus and @NFLrecord.

I wonder what Landry will pull down ?  Always liked him as a BROWN.

  • More Landry......

    ESPN -

Adding Landry would mean the Saints will have made their two biggest signings in May after showing some rare spending restraint in the first two months of free agency. They began the year about $75 million over the salary cap, then lost left tackle Terron Armstead and safety Marcus Williams to other teams and safety Malcolm Jenkins to retirement. They signed former New York Jets safety Marcus Maye among other minor additions.

The Browns released Landry on March 14 after the sides couldn't agree to a restructured contract. The Browns had granted Landry permission to try to seek a trade after Cleveland dealt for Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper.

Landry, 29, struggled last season with a knee sprain suffered in Week 2, an injury that kept him out five weeks. He finished with 52 receptions for 570 yards and four total touchdowns -- all career lows.

not confirmed.. but, landing Landry at this number? would really blow !

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Landry is expected to sign a one-year contract worth as much as $6 million with incentives.

    Tom Pelissero@TomPelissero
For Jarvis Landry and the #Saints, it’s expected to be a one-year deal worth up to $6 million. A chance to go home, show he’s healthy and get back to the market next March, when Landry will be 30. @NFLTotalAccess

a browns jersey, i will still wear regardless where he plays

  • Good for Landry... He was a class act and I said this is where he would end up... I think Will Fuller will be a brown before too long...

  • When we drafted 2 receivers, odds of signing Landry became quite low.

Especially when they went and used a 3rd rounder on a kid that sounds a lot like Landry.

You wonder since the BROWNS released Landry on March 14   -and-   he had the lowest career numbers of his career if his best years are behind him  ?   Maybe the BROWNS knew something on his future output.

Just the right time to move on.  Adios Landry still a classy professional good luck back in Baton Rouge country.

I love the guy for his attitude. And last season he attributed his diminishing skills to injury.

  • He signed for a reportedly $6 million with the Saints.

Makes me wonder what the Browns offered him back in March. ?
