No great insight there. They just do. In addition to screwing over their fans, this has to hurt Chris Peterson at Boise State. After the Dan Hawkins debacle, will major teams be in a rush to bring in another Broncos coach with a penchant for trick plays?
It's enough to make them want to take the Kansas State route and bring back the old guy. Call Bill McCartney and see if he's willing to put the Promise Keepers and his mistress aside for a few years to get the team back on track.

Go mAc, GO Rockets...
As a former Miami student, I like the MAC just fine, and it shouldn't be a surprise when they hang with (or beat) BCS teams, especially when it's a pretty bad BCS team like Colorado. From watching the first half and parts of the second, though, Colorado had no fight in them. That's what they should be embarassed about. That and Mr. "This Ain't Intramurals" refusing to even think about taking his son out of the game.
