  • Good point. Didn't realize it was Gibson; I was more focused on how SC's fullback has more wiggle ability than one of their supposedly big-time RB's (Stefon Johnson).

He probably still projects to OLB. He's too lanky to stay at end.

  • How does Damian project? Kinda reminds me of Santonio Holmes, maybe with a little better size

He's a first round guy, provided he runs well at the Combine. I'm sure the Jets would love to reunite him with Sanchez.

The only way he drops to the second is if all the talented underclassmen (including Williams) declare for the draft. The economic climate's going to push a lot of guys to the NFL.

How would the lack of a CBA and no cap (if that happens) affect the declaration of underclassmen?

  • Not sure that would have much of an impact. What would is if a new collective bargaining agreement includes a rookie wage scale in 2011; that'd lead to a lot of guys heading to the NFL before it takes effect.

  • Im happy with the score at half, but there hasn't been a lot of excitement in this game.

Buckeyes look like the better team to me in the first half, Pryor having some accuracy and decision making troubles.

We need a big play or two in the 2nd half, and keep USC from making any.

  • Good half overall, the beginning and ends sucked. They got to stall USC momentum coming out of the locker and no stupid errors like the pick.

This is a typical OSU choke job. Play a solid first half, completely blow the second half. It doesn't help their cause that USC had that solid drive with just 55 seconds left before halftime and now USC gets the ball back. Go Trojans!

Not with Barkley. He simply isn't any good right now as a starting QB in college. Sanchez comes back and this game is probably over. Shows how much the position means.

You are going to have to hope for a 4th quarter drive. This game is going exactly how I hoped.

  • USC doesn't seems faster then the Buckeyes. Pretty good game so far. I'd love to put an L on these guys.

    Agree on all three counts.

  • USC just lacks speed period. Lost it all to the pros and injury. It isn't like OSU is playing a overly good game either. They just have cut out the stupid errors.

    Or survived their stupid errors.

    Classic.

"Everybody sucks, one team just sucks a little less"--RIP

In this case, it fits. Which teams sucks the least wins. Sometimes that is how it is. The Browns will have their wins that way as well or think Steelers Super Bowl win a few years ago.

    You can't always win pretty.

  • Does anyone else picture RestInPeace as looking like this:

  • God...Terrelle Pryor has the WORST mechanics of any QB I've ever seen. I'm no QB guru, but how bad his mechanics are stands out even to me.

Why does everyone seem to think he's going to be good? So far, all I've seen is a guy who can run fast and heave the ball a long way. Michael Vick could do that as well.

Every pass seems to just float up there, and his accuracy is...suspect to say the least.

  • Pryor sucks. He has no poise, makes stupid mistakes, and can't read defenses. Tressell had some pretty shitty play calling tonight too. Too damn conservative.

  • eff you Tressel. You pansy wimp. You had those flops, but you decided to suck a little worse than USC. I am sick of it. Every FREAKING YEAR. That sad sack wimps out against BCS talent. Against a freshmen QB.

Either fire Bollman or get lost man.

  • Barkley will get all the praise, but Joe McKnight and center Kris O'Dowd deserve most of the credit for that winning drive.

Here's what I wrote about McKnight back in June:

Joe McKnight is the big play guy [in USC's backfield]. Because of that, he's frequently compared to Reggie Bush, but they're actually not all that similar. McKnight lacks Bush's 4.3 speed, but he's a much more physical runner. Though he has a habit of dancing too much, he rarely is brought down by the first defender, indicating that he could develop into an elite inside/outside runner.

What Bush and McKnight do share is the ability to cut & change directions without losing any speed. That should make McKnight a dynamic return man, but he's shown an unfortunate habit of muffing punts. He'll need to win the return job back and show improvement to keep his draft stock high.

Though only a junior, McKnight likely will declare after this season. A turf toe injury affected his game last year, so I doubt he'll return as a senior and risk having his stock drop due to injury. Assuming he stays healthy, I think he'll go in the late 1st/early 2nd round.

Looks like he's permanently been taken off return duty, but the power he displayed tonight will do a lot to rehabilitate his draft stock. The 1st round seems like a strong possibility for him.

  • 😆 C'mon, did you really expect Ohio State to win that game? That is THE most overrated team in college football, and Pryor is the most overrated QB in college football. On a Browns note, I see the game tomorrow playing out similar to this game. The Browns winning in a close one in a similar fashion.
