If you were pissed off about the Browns giving up a TD on a 3rd down HB draw to the Pats, but you're happy about what you just saw CLE do and think it's an "awesome call".... re-evaluate yourself.

If that's the play I'm thinking of- at least the Brisket decided to run this time instead of throwing a gift int to the end zone.  🙂

I thought we were going to lose by 14, to be brutally honest.

    The defense is waking up.

And eight games into the "Jacoby Brissett Fill-In Experience" the Browns are averaging 25 points a game. I definitely never saw that happening.

I thought Burrow would light us up. Their oline sucks bad

How the fuck did that fraud team get to the SB?

  • I'd bring Joe Haden back to every home game 😉

My friend told me they way the Browns secondary had been playing of late, hell- suit Joe up, and get him back on the field.  🙂

Yep, I was expecting the Bengals to blow out the Browns, or at best Cleveland to eke out a three point win.  Goes to show when you have your backs against the wall what desperation can do for a team.

Remember my mantra nickers..."I'd rather be lucky than good."  I well remember the previous Bungle Super Bowl appearances- where everything went right for them. Opposing teams doinking field goal attempt off the uprights, and the Bengals doinking in...  Don't get me started on how much I detest their color guy, er- cheerleader Dave Lapham doing the expert analysis.

That said, the Bengals are a completely different team when Burrow doesn't have his security blanket Jamar Chase on the field...  If they don't figure out how to fix their o-line, they're in serious trouble.

You want a pretty amazing stat I noticed?  Despite Burrow trying to make up for his sieve o-line getting his passes off in less than 2.5 seconds, Joe only completed three passes of longer than 20 yards all night.  The Browns gave the rest of the league the blueprint on how to beat Cinci. Take away their bombs away passing and rush\blitz the hell out of Burrow.

  • First game I miss in two seasons, and it's a good one?

It's funny, when asked about that rushing score JB said that the pick against the Bolts was all he was thinking about and he wasn't doing it again.

  • I'm still puzzled by the Bengals decision to pass pass pass the night away.

Bad running teams have had monster games vs the Browns this season, yet Cincinnati seemed allergic to the run. In fact, when they did run, it seemed like they did it on the ends and off tackle. And a ton of check downs to the RBs in the passing game. You would think a team struggling to keep opposing defenses off their QB would want to establish the run, and lo and behold, the Browns defense is one you can do that against.

I hate to say it, but it looks like the Browns defense seems to have woken up. Kind of like how they needed a blowout last year vs the Pats to turn them around.

  • Thats got fo be jacoby brissett's best game as a pro, yeah?

In 2019 he had 18 touchdowns vs 6 interceptions, so I'm guessing probably not.

But it was a great one for sure.

  • I swear there used to be more trick or treaters 20 years ago....... Sitting here wanting to give away candy.

As a 30 something parent of kids, a lot of folks in our group did stuff over the weekend. I still went out with my kiddo, but it was markedly less than last year. Top that with people having concerns about safety and I'm left with several hundred pieces of candy. The future of trick or treating may very well be fading away.

On a side note, boy it's nice to talk about mundane crap and enjoying a Browns easy win. I'm not sure what vodoo magic Cleveland has against Cincy, but they just have their dang number lately. Even getting the odd breaks of shooter McPherson kissing kicks, etc.

Amazing isn't it no matter how good your quarterback is if your OL sucks the QB will be running for his life......same for no good RBs to help him out.

But we have had good to great Oline and we still suck

No he was talking about the 3rd and 6 run around the Bengals 30 yard line where we called what looked to be an O1 trap and chubb got 20 yards on it. I believe it was the drive brissett ran in on though.  Though it could have been the coop td drive as well

    - Let's not be too quick on the defense now.   We've looked pretty decent in plus matchups, and football is about as close to chess as you get without having the board in front of you.

    - Really, you NEVER saw that happening? ?

In 2019 he had a game against the falcons where went 28/37 for 310 2 tds no ints. And his best game was probably that year against the Texans where he went 26/39 for 326 4 tds no ints

He's an absolute treat in the game threads, let me tell you. ? But hey, at least he's on here for good or bad.

Funny how some of the Browns "fans" on this board are nowhere to be found after they play well.

  • Great game, the only one this season where all defense, offense (besides Cooper's pass) and ST (besides a blocked kick) did their job well. Kudos to the defense who finally woke up and man is Emmerson showing flashes of greatness. Nice way to enter the bye week, work out more kinks and get to .500 before Deshaun takes over.

The Browns are #4 in the NFL in rush attempts per game, so no.

  • In their last 5 games, where they got W's in 4 of 5, the Bengals averaged.

JB with 36.2 pass att per game

Mixon averaged 15 carries per game, at a clip of 3.8 YPC.

This is who and what they are.  A pass heavy team with a good young QB, but a weak OL that has an inefficient running game.   As a result, when they can't keep bodies off Joey Buckets, the offensive implodes.  Worse because this style of offense is now running into predominantly 2 high shell teams.  So if you either don't have the patience or ability to exploit that, you can run into matchups like they did with the Browns last night.  "Looking" like the superior team, but lacking in where it counts.

  • Isaiah Thomas - Coming from nowhere to be best backup DL on the roster.

    Alex Wright, not yet
