I'm not sure if I have mentioned Ken Follett before but I had read his Trilogy the century thought it hard to put down. From the description a 12th century historical drama about the building of cathedrals in England wouldn't be something that would interest me right off the bat. But I rolled the dice on Pillars of the Earth the first audiobook is over 40 hours long and fascinating every minute. Almost impossible to put down, or turn off. Two more installments in the trilogy and apparently a prequel coming.
