I have no problem with audits of where our tax dollars are being spent.
Unfortunately all of the personal digging and attacks especially in the past 20-30 (+/-) years has had another bad side effect it has chased a lot of good, qualified, successful people out of seeking a career in public service. Really now besides taking a pay cut from their successful jobs who needs all of the hassel to run for office.
Even in your state and local races IMHO the number of good qualified candidates has declined over the years.
Seriously just take a look at who was in the last few presidential races Bernie, Hillary, Joe among others on one side and Donald and everyone else he beat out on that side. And it's entirely possible that we may end up with Donny vs Joe the rematch in 2024. Two too old geezers going after the the most important and toughest jobs in the free world.
I honestly hope that both sides can come up with two more good, qualified decent candidates ..... but im not holmy breathe on that one.
I guess we just wait and see what happens .......

Here is the problem. There is NOT any candidate from the dem side that will be great for our country.
They all are required to vote in lock step with the corrupt upper crust in the dem party. Or, they are not in the party long enough to get into office. They have all FAILED.
The reps? There are plenty of extremely qualified terrific choices. Like:
Desantis, of course. He's a terrific leader and isn't afraid to stand up for America like he as for Floridians.
Nikki Haley - she is brilliant, courageous, and knows a hell of a lot about foreign and domestic affairs.
Mike Pompeo - my favorite. He is brilliant, really funny, like Desantis, knows everything there is to know to fix the gov.

No. Nixon was impeached, but not removed from office. He resigned from office. Impeachment doesn't remove you from office. it is a trial. The Senate has to vote to remove with a 2/3 majority.
