  • Speaking of Bob Dylan, one of my favorite covers.

  • Rocking Robert still Rock'in

    Just over a month ago..

I can now say, I saw a Hootie concert with a sports legend.. Mr.Dan Patrick

  • Wow! DP dropping F bombs ?

I saw Hootie in center field after a Rays game a couple yrs ago.. Completely underwhelmed. Thank God is was included in the price of the Rays ticket.. 😉

  • Time for an old WW II classic that everyone then could relate to: Vera Lynn.

  • I have always found it interesting how different areas of the country pronounce words. This band is from California and pronounces the word "alone" as "ah-lawn", whereas in Texas that same word gets pronounced "ah-loan". Anyway a not too ancient song like others I've posted. ?‍??

  • since I was laid up with my knee, need it replaced  ASAP hopefully, although it isn't the time of year that is convenient. We'll see...

I was going over some songs from the past I really like....

    this is one of them.

Bob Dylan "knock knock knocin on Heaven's Door". This song is from the

movie "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid". Cept I never have seen the movie...

  • In the film, the song plays after Sheriff Colin Baker, an ally of Pat Garrett portrayed by Slim Pickens, is mortally wounded in a shootout with Billy the Kid’s gang. Baker and his wife are by a riverside, preparing themselves for his death, which is not actually shown onscreen.

This song was included by the Western Writer’s as one of their Top 100 Western Songs of All Time.

Think maybe Dylan was inspired by Mart Robbins' earlier singing of an old song, Streets of Laredo. I like both of them.

  • Another old west historical song about a place that had been in business off and on since 1844.??

  • When R&B met 1972 ?

  • Brilliantly written new song..  Wallen w/Eric Church

that is excellent. I wish I had written that one. If only I had the musical talent etc lol.

it's a great song - I have given up on so much "genx country" music these days - but this song is outstanding.

  • Ever notice what a throwback song this is by Stephan Sanchez?

    How about from the 1950's?

  • My favorite song, favorite band.

Egad, Bob. All American soldiers and generals are "pigs" because they fight a war? what the hell? That sure seemed to be an American soldier putting a blindfold or bandage on another person.

"War PIgs" is somebodies' mind on drugs as to it's creation.

btw, is this acid rock? really not my thing.I had to make jumps forward because the music sucked. Maybe on a point of "that is tough music to play" but I only play my harmonica and haven't strummed my guitar for a long time now, and I can't read music....

The "pigs" are in reference to the government, not the soldiers.

I always enjoyed Black Sabbath. Contrary to what the critics said, they weren't into "the devil" & played many love songs.

I like that era...Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Genesis with Peter Gabriel, Yes, Golden Earring etc
