I feel like your feelings don't mean shit to me. All I can say is scoreboard. Your traitors' names are going away. You keep on wishing your side had won the Slavers Rebellion.

I would imagine every single person on this board has ancestors who have been slaves of one kind or another. Only one group uses that as an excuse to behave like animals in 2023.

You are joking right? You keep defending white supremist/anti-woke.

The White man who pled guilty to killing 10 Black people and wounding three others in a hate-fueled mass shooting at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, last year was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison without parole.

Payton Gendron was read his punishment in Erie County Court after pleading guilty in November to charges including murder and domestic terrorism motivated by hate in relation to the May 2022 attack at a Tops Friendly Market. The hearing was interrupted at one point by a man who lunged at Gendron while a family member was reading a victim impact statement, and the shooter himself was seen weeping as relatives of those who lost their loved ones delivered remarks.

When we examine who uses guns to commit mass racial violence in the United States, we find that many of these domestic terrorists look and think like Gendron. From 2012 through 2021, nearly three in four murders classified as domestic terrorism were committed by right-wing extremists (most of whom were white nationalists). In 2020, 55% of perpetrators of hate crimes were white, 21% were Black, and 16% were of unknown racial background. Sixty-two percent of hate crimes were about race/ethnicity, nearly 25% were about sexual orientation/gender identity, and 13% were about religion.

Absolutely not. First of all hate crime is a bullshit category. Made up by politicians to give special rights to minorities. 13% of the population commits approximately 50% of the violent crimes against whites blacks anybody. Using slavery as an excuse is complete garbage. I would venture to say the Holocaust made slavery look like a walk in the park and that was barely 75 years ago. Unlike slavery. One would expect when they are making excuses Beachwood should look like East Cleveland and yet.. once again bottom line don't behave like animals and people will stop treating you like animals.

It must make your life easy when you disregard anything that hurts your feelings. I understand why you disreguard the hate crimes, it your group that is doing most of them.

Holocaust was over a few years. Slavery in the US lasted almost 90 years. Estimate of number of people killed is 6-150 million. There is no way to get a actual count, you know because they didn't track property lose. A large percentage didn't even live through the trip across the ocean. Half of all enslaved infants died in their first year of life.

And you want to celebrity the men who fought to keep on owning people. You don't see the Germans putting up statues of Rudolf Hoss and then running over people who want to take the statues down.

You are clueless on the topic of slavery as well. You obviously see it as white mans invention, and subsequently demand reparations. You are very aware of, like every smarty pants liber is, are the horrors the slaves (who were sold to the white man by African slaveholders) endured on that trip across the Atlantic, and that's about as far as it goes with you caring and compassionates..

Ask any black if they wished slavery never happened.

  • Fort Hood has been renamed for Hispanic 4-star general Richard Cavazos : NPR

One of the U.S. military's largest bases has been renamed after the Army's first Hispanic four-star general.

Fort Hood, located about 70 miles north of Austin, Texas, was redesignated on Tuesday as Fort Cavazos in honor of the late Gen. Richard Edward Cavazos, a Texas native who served in the Korean and Vietnam wars.

"General Cavazos' combat proven leadership, his moral character and his loyalty to his Soldiers and their families made him the fearless yet respected and influential leader that he was during the time he served, and beyond," Lt. Gen. Sean Bernabe, III Armored Corps Commanding General, said in a statement....

Cavazos earned the Silver Star and two Distinguished Service Cross awards for his service during the two conflicts — for actions such as evacuating wounded soldiers before having his own injuries treated during the Korean War and exposing himself to enemy fire while leading attacks in the Vietnam War.

"I truly believe that a lot of us got home because of the way he conducted himself," Melvin "Brave" Brav, who served under Cavazos, told the San Antonio Express-News.

Cavazos eventually ascended to the rank of four-star general and led the U.S. Army Forces Command, making him one of the highest-ranked Army officials at the time.

He died in 2017 at age 88 after struggling with Alzheimer's disease.

  • Trigger warning for you nut jobs.

Lt. Gen. Harold G. Moore commanded troops in the first major battle of the Vietnam War, a role depicted in a book and a movie. His wife, Julia, was a champion for military spouses and changed the way next of kin are notified when a service member is killed.

In their honor, Fort Benning in Georgia officially became Fort Moore on Thursday as the Defense Department removes Confederate names and symbols from military property. Fort Moore is the only base named for a married couple.

Final Army base stripped of Confederate name as Fort Gordon becomes Fort Eisenhower | Stars and Stripes

Army Maj. Gen. Paul Stanton, the commander of Fort Eisenhower and the Army Cyber Center of Excellence, right, and Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Starrett unveil a bust of General of the Army and President Dwight D. Eisenhower during a renaming ceremony Friday, Oct. 27, 2023. The former Fort Gordon, Ga., was the last of nine Army bases to be renamed this year to drop their former names honoring Confederate generals.

FORT EISENHOWER, Ga. — The names of Confederate leaders who took up arms against the United States in the Civil War have been fully stripped from Army installations, as the former Fort Gordon in Georgia was renamed Fort Eisenhower on Friday.

The post, which carried the namesake of Confederate Gen. John Brown Gordon since its inception as Camp Gordon in 1941, now carries the name of one of the Army’s most historic and revered figures — former President Dwight D. Eisenhower, a five-star Army general who commanded all Allied forces in defeating Nazi Germany in World War II.

A ceremony marking the name change was held on the post’s parade grounds, a location where Eisenhower as president conducted his final review of troops as commander in chief in January 1961 in the waning days of his second presidential term, officials at the post noted Friday.

“We’re transitioning from arguably a failed leader [as a namesake] to the visionary world leader who resonated with all of the soldiers that he led on a world stage,” said Army Maj. Gen. Paul Stanton, the commander of Fort Eisenhower and its Army Cyber Center of Excellence, which trains the service’s cyber and signal forces. “He was recognized and admired. There’s no doubt … the soldiers under his command knew they were being led by a man of character, and he inspired them to do their life’s best work on a daily basis — whether that be in combat, whether that be in training, or whether that be later in life as a statesman.

“So, he’s absolutely the right namesake.”
