Here's something I've been thinking about for a while, and the morning guys on 92.3 touched on...
I think Stefanski has no business trying to build an offense for Watson, let me preface this with that.... that saying:
I've been wondering since the Browns announced they signed Watson how he was going to deal with being "the bad guy". The guy who is hated in every stadium he goes to. The guy who has to wear the proverbial black hat. Most people can't do it. Most people want to be liked. Watson, prior to all the accusations, was a very well-liked player at Clemson and for most his time in Houston. Other fanbases might not have "liked" him per se, he was an opposing team's QB, but he was respected as a very good QB and wasn't hated. Now, he's hated everywhere. Hell, there's a good portion of his own (Browns) fanbase who hates him. LeBron talked about how he struggled being the bad guy in Miami, and had to move on from that role because he's not built to be that guy.
I think the hate (which I've never argued isn't warranted) is weighing on him. He's not Ben Roethlisber, who probably is a sociopath, who can smile and tell everyone he found Jesus and play at a Pro-Bowl level right after locking some chick in a bar bathroom with him.
Its another reason why I have some doubts he's going to turn back into 2018-2022 Watson anytime soon, if ever, here.

Bernie, as hoorta mentioned earlier, you are mistaking what he is saying. He actually isn't one of the Baker guys.
I can give you a short list of guys on here who I'm pretty convinced are envious of the random skank who was giving Baker blowies in the Cheesecake Factory parking lot months after he got married, but this isn't one of them.

You all know I was not a fan of this trade.. And as I feared.. We got duped again... Deshaun Watson will never be a pocket QB.. He's just another gadget QB who simply does not make anyone around him better.. He looked lost.. Confused.. And was holding on to the ball way too long.. He cost the team a win by producing Two facemask penalties, one interception and two fumbles... This falls on our shit QB Mr.Peepee! I have never heard of a QB getting two face mask penalty calls in a single game.. This is an embarrassment... Jimmy... I implore you.. Cut the chord with Kevvy and this garbage QB... Fans deserve better than this shit!

My comment has nothing to do with what he said about the situation. I mean, I just don't think he can help himself. Out of all the threads he could have started, he could of started one on poor Nick Chubb who's career may very well be over and where we go from here. Or the fact that Chubb's injury completely deflated the team and maybe that's why Watson looked like garbage last night. It's possible, but it's also possible that Watson really is garbage. But can we at least give him the benefit of the doubt here?

Out of curiosity, because I think Stefanski will be gone at the end of the season, I looked up who was Deshaun Watson's offensive coordinator in Houston. In his last two seasons with the Texans, it was Tim Kelly.
Kelly is Tennessee's OC now. The Browns play the Titans this coming Sunday.

There is a reason Baker Mayfield isn't here. They either thought he wouldn't be the same after his injury and/or thought he had reached his ceiling and wanted to move on. Regardless he is gone. End of story.

There could be other reasons. I have heard that he wouldn’t listen to the coaches, and would change plays without permission

Oh, I understand how this could raise a pulse rate or two, but the reality is that you and I don't get to decide when the conversation is over, and regardless of what we want, this story still has potential wings.
C'mon Larry, if Watson busts at 1/4 $billion, and Baker goes to the playoffs, these TV assholes will jump on this story and again, our franchise will be ridiculed.
