I think both him and Earl Campbell did the chewing tobacco commercials. They were healthy looking guys hitting the subconscious airways and hollow domes like the young and dumber Flugel back in college.
Thank God I quit that stuff. I used to joke around saying "quitting is easy - I've done it a 100 times."
