The problem isn't Quinn or DA folks.....
-
As a former poster just pointed out to me in an email - I'd take Maurice Carthon back in an instant over this shit playcalling we have. And I'd absolutely take Weis also. This is Chud part 2
We also need a DB coach. That works with the LB's once a week (at least).

The problem is Mangini. I joined this forum when the house was essentially cleaned because I thought (and still do think) that this team has some real talent on it. I began to post fairly regularly and lurk because I simply like the team.
But I immediately lost interest yet again when Mangini was named the coach. The players clearly aren't buying into his game (not surprising) and you'd think they were playing right now without a head coach (which essentially they are given this guy's attitude and distance).
I remember months ago most people here (myself included) were hoping for McDaniels, and many jumped off the McDaniels bandwagon following the Cutler fiasco and felt Mangini was the better hire. But I think it's telling that a guy can go to Denver, trade away their star quarterback, load up of defensive has beens, and still out-coach Manidiot.

Yeah, don't agree at all. Mangini wasn't outcoached tonight, he was out talented.
Let me ask a serious, no B.S. question of the board:
If we have Elvis Dumervil coming off the edge, do we win this game?
I honestly think that the difference in talent between the two teams was just that close.

Could be. But I'd rather swap Ryan Clady & St. Clair.
-
Yeah, well, that would help too. Can we have them both?
-
If those Broncos far exceed the talent of the Browns, then this team is in much worse shape than anyone can imagine.

Did you miss my point about Dumervil?
ONE PLAYER was the difference between the teams tonight.
They got to our QB. We didn't get to theirs.

Now your getting it. Phil and Fats left Mankok a complete mess, I mean a complete mess. Not one LB we started today, IMO will be starting for us in a couple of years. Not one. Bowens and Barton are stopgaps. Wimbley is a turd and DQ just gets shoved around, no matter how much Mangini praised him, we need muscle.
We probably don't have the starting QB either, nor a well built OL. Mangini probably isn't a happy camper watching a number of core players he drafted on the Jets doing well, but he must do the same thing here and so we can look good in a few years.

Sez we drafted two dlineman in top three. Brown and Pocket Change.
-
Sorry man, but they didn't crowd the line. They were in zone most of the game. The Browns OL was just beaten.
are YOU HIGH? WATCH THE REPLAY ON YOUR DVR......

I don't need to watch it. Quinn has nothing to do with St. Clair getting his AZZ beat almost every down by Dumervil. Hell, Quinn even was able to avoid 4-5 other times he almost got sacked. They even mentioned it in the broadcast. How his mobility saved another sack. DA would have been KILLLED today the way the OL played.

Yeah, but what happened in 2007 has no bearing as was shown in 2008.
IF Anderson was 0-2 this year you would be going nuts.............but it's Quinn and he gets a pass. Fact is.......Quinn looks no better then Anderson.

Actually, he is better.
Quinn so far: 66.9
DA for ALL of 2008: 66.5
And you think Quinn is bad? DA was worse! no thanks... that ship has sailed. It's neither guy really. The OC's they've had are just horrid at play calling.
Hmmm, what do ya know....each OC was in their first year EVER of being an OC. The play calling is putrid.
Quinn has mobility. Did you see any rollouts? Nope. Quinn excelled at ND running screens. Did you see any of that? Nope.
Daboll is over his head as an OC. We are currently "witnesses" to it all.
