The Saquon Barkley fine is the last rites of the run game.

How in the freaking heck is this even a foul? He lowers is head as he goes into traffic at the LOS, to make forward progress. I don't see any intention to hit a specific player, let alone with "unsportsmanlike" intent. WTF was he supposed to do? Keep his head straight up and politely nod to the defender who does have the intention to all but take it off?

I swear, if this continues, the running game is dead!

Another big running back fine: The NFL docked #Giants star Saquon Barkley $21,855 for unnecessary roughness on this play last week.

The league has been cracking down all season on players lowering their heads to initiate contact.

Unreal. I understand some of the rule changes by the NFL over the years, but the pussification of this league is out of control. How was that play anything but a running back running forward for yards? What was Saquon supposed to do there, take a knee or slide?

Looks like a regular running play to me.

If they'd like to see Barkley's eyes running into defenders chest plate?

The crown of the helmet, than rounds under defenders grill squarely into the defenders chin strap  ?

quit making a game, impossible to play... fine that guy !

I understand they want to make the game safer but they will never fully eliminate head injuries or concussions, just look what happened to Elijah Moore. I don't even see a foul in that video posted.
