Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has died in prison, the country's prison service said Friday, following a yearslong struggle against official corruption and President Vladimir Putin's government that saw him survive several poisoning attempts.
He was 47.
Navalny was poisoned with a military nerve agent while on a business trip in Russia in 2020 — an attempt on his life that he blamed directly on Putin — and spent his final years behind bars as the Russian leader reshaped the country to rally behind his war in Ukraine. News of his death, which comes as the Kremlin is preparing to orchestrate another election victory for Putin in March, drew condemnation from the West.

Navalny, previously poisoned by Putin for being a political opponent, went back to the country being run by the same mafia boss to run against him politically. What did he think was going to happen? The griping about this from our politicians and the media is so annoying. Putin killed one of his own citizens, is America supposed to wage more proxy war on him as a response? What's the end game here? Same shit that happened with Khashoggi in Saudi Arabia and Gonzalo Lira 3 weeks ago in Ukraine. Maybe don't go to countries run by despots and criticize them. I guess the 10 million pounds Navalny asked MI6 for was worth his life.

And yet I see him showing off a triumph of the communist regime and showing us what we could have if we invested in public transportation...
You can defend Tucker however you like, but it doesn't change the facts. Strange mental gymnastics you have to see that and think "if only we were more authoritarian" (especially given our prison numbers) but then still completely block out the fact it was built by communism and funded with socialist policies
