Truckers to boycott driving to New York City after $355M fraud ruling against Trump

30 days - March 25th? Funny that is the same day his first criminal trial starts. Still waiting for the 80+ million bond to be paid. Second week of March, I believe. Schadenfreude
A New York judge formally ordered Donald Trump to pay $454 million, including interest, on Friday, a move that will give the former president one month to post nearly half a billion dollars to appeal the fraud verdict.
Judge Arthur Engoron’s signed judgment was posted to the court docket Friday, one week after he found Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump liable for fraud in the civil case brought by New York Attorney General Letita James.
Once Trump and the others are served with the judgment, the 30-day clock for them to file an appeal starts. During that period Trump will need to put up cash or post bond to cover the $355 million and additional roughly $100 million in interest he was ordered to pay. The sons were each ordered to pay $4 million back in gains they improperly received because of the fraud. The judge also banned the Trumps from serving as officers of a business entity in New York for several years.
Earlier Friday, James posted on X, “Friday feeling: No one is above the law.”

Dumbass cult, no one should need to perform irreversible damage to themselves just to make an appeal, especially one we know will be over turned.

these leftwing political prosecutions/persecutions are only happening because it seems they are
not having to worry about any consequences - which is the liberal ideal.

Hey Cheetos finally paid someone.
Donald Trump has paid $392,000 to The New York Times to cover the legal costs from his failed lawsuit against the newspaper and its journalists over a 2018 investigation into his finances that included confidential tax records, a spokesman for the Times told CNN on Monday.
Trump was ordered to pay the money in January, more than eight months after Judge Robert R. Reed granted the Times’ motion to dismiss the case against it and its journalists, concluding the journalists’ conduct was protected by the New York Constitution.
Among the claims that Trump brought against the Times was the accusation that the journalists were liable for “tortious interference” in how they allegedly sought out his niece and caused her to allegedly breach a 2001 settlement contract with the Trump family, CNN previously reported.
