“Know their place” is a phrase to throw out there. My baseline in the grand scheme of things is we’re all trying to find our place. It’s more of a challenge for some than others.
It sort of assumes the participants actually want to have a place. That’s a good thing, yeah?
There’s an awful lot of stuff out there right now with this theme in mind. Trying to lump groups of people together and guesstimating their political leanings, based on skin shade, religion, gender, socioeconomic blah blah blah, etc.
It’s mostly fluff, and that works for some people. Somewhere beyond that lies absolutes for people who truly want to be here and are willing to put in the work. Hell, l struggle with that more hours than l’d like to admit.
