Probably literally everyone in the Democrat side. They seem intent, so far, on running the one candidate I can almost guarantee will lose to him though.

Letting Harris run us basically just a punt. If she pulls it off, cool. If not, nothing really changes.
But running a top choice for 2028, just for them to lose and tarnish their rep, it wouldn't make sense.

Might be their only viable play at this point. If you leapfrog her with a white person, you are inviting all the race baiters to pounce on you. With Harris on the ticket, your hope is that identity politics gets enough women and blacks in Detroit and Philadelphia to win you Michigan and PA. Most importantly, her running and losing would allow the DNC to discard her without pissing off the voting base. There was good reason she didn't get a single delegate in the 2020 primary. This path is going to be painful for the DNC, but it might be the least chaotic.

He's saying the same thing I am. Harris is not very popular at all. The odds of her beating Trump seem slim. People like Newsom and Whitmer have a political future and could be vying for the nomination in 2028. Therefore, they see no benefit of handcuffing themselves to Harris as her VP and tarnishing their record with what they see as a loss.

I assume you mean Harris as their candidate.
So you're saying they are just gonna sit idle and let what is perceived as inevitable run its course. Thats harder to swallow than a Hindu eating a hamburger. In my opinion they will prop her up like it's nobody's business. They and their deep state underlings worked too hard and too long to be rid of Trump just to tell him "go ahead you can have it"

It'll be the same thing as before with other non white male candidates. You'll complain about a victim card they may or may not be actually played while doing whatever you can to make yourself out to be the victim.
I'm sure there will be folks on the left that will take any criticism as sexism... But we already have dozens of actual examples on here of that... That ship sailed
