Another Lawsuit Ensuing... The Browns Just Might Have An Out!

The Browns Board

  • When I started following football I did my research and worked with my heart. I've lived in Ohio but I've also lived in Commanders territory a lot longer, Tennessee, Florida, and Michigan. I now live no where in the US so I had lots of options. I picked Browns for a lot of reasons - but being the most winning team was not one of them. Quite the opposite. Trying to win by any means necissary has not worked, including giving clearly bad apples record breaking contracts. What we were left with is someone with no integrity off the field and no performance on the field. Personally, I wish Haslam would clean it up. If we keep losing I'll still be a Browns fan but what would make that a lot easier is if we cut back on the dirt outside game time. I'd rather have a team of boy scouts who lose most of the season but set a good example for young fans than a super bowl champion team with Ted Bundy at center, Jeffery Dahmer at QB, and John Wayne Gacy as WR. I know this isn't very good jock brain of me but I feel that as a business, which is what this is, there is still money to be made in that. I think a team you can be proud of can sell tickets, sell merch, win or not. If Clevalnd didn't love underdogs they wouldn't love the Browns. Opening day and I got confused because there was an elf printed on the field but everyone was cheering for the cowboys. When I think of Clevland I think rock and roll hall of fame, and the Browns. Its a core identity that goes beyond winning any particular game. And I feel like, from my admittedly somewhat outside perspective, the soul of the browns tends to reflect the soul of the city.

Integrity does matter. What athletes add to society outside entertainment is role models for kids - lessons in hard work, practice, team work, leadership. Beating people in hotel rooms, sexual harassment and assault, domestic violence... Like it or not when you keep those people on the roster you tell kids this is ok you can be successful and do these things. So they already aren't doing their job and when you don't do your job you get fired. Add to that, the fact that they aren't even doing what is seen as their job by everyone who isn't a virtue signaling bleeding heart loser like me - by winning games... And I'm not sure what the return on investment is supposed to be.

  • We need some AI to auto post why the browns can’t cut Watson every time someone suggests it. They literally can’t unless they move everybody and get an expansion roster next year. Burning a roster spot on the 53 is the only reasonable option, or lose until he inevitably ends up on IR, or hope he miraculously turns it around.

It’s a shame we dumped 2 QBs who proved they can produce in the stefanski offense (Flacco, Jacoby) just because we’re handcuffed by this loser.

I really wish we had the Flacco and DTR combo with the sexual abuser sulking on the bench. Those games were fun.

  • I hear the NFL is coming up with a new inactive list for the Browns.  The Mistreaters of Women List.  Mike Hall is currently alone on the list.

"I've pretty much given up 'wishing' that Watson is 'the answer' at QB.  Something will have to happen.  He'll either get hurt, suspended, or will just flat out suck."

I posted the above quote on Sept 2nd on Dutch's Browns Questions thread.  So far points 2 & 3 are looking pretty good...and point 1 is just a matter of time if he isn't hurt already.

But can't he just be benched? We could let our kicker QB and it would probably be better.

  • Hypothetically, if Watson were to get suspended...do we go straight to DTR?  Or start Winston and pull him for DTR?

Here's a thought. What dumbshit somewhere in the Browns braintrust thought it was a good idea to let Flacco walk and now back up Richardson with the Colts? That person or persons who did not see fit to find a way to keep him should be fired post haste.

The FO was afraid of hurting DW’s feelings by keeping Flacco.

Yea he can be benched, I guess they’re afraid of hurting his feelings. Or haslam wont accept the most expensive backup of all time.

  • It is snowballing. Flugel and Dutch are about to sue Watson.

Meanwhile, has any of them seen how hurt that alleged surgically repaired shoulder still looks?  When a guy is altering/changing his throwing mechanics to try to throw a football without pain and accuracy - shouldn't that worry us that nobody in the organization and medical staff sees that as an ideal opportunity to bench his ass without hurting his feelings?

The irony here is all of Stefanski's best work has been winning without Watson on the field with backup QBs.

Like how you were going to sue Steve and/or the site hosting this board if your account wasn't deleted because your feelings were so, so butthurt? ?

    This is absolutely true.

That being said, Flacco was a short-term fix.

The Browns need to pray that he gets suspended again, and they are able to void the rest of his contract and move on.

I’m thinking Stefanski saw this in training camp and didn’t want to put DW on display, but eventually the cat comes out of the bag.

It reminds me of when Mike Pettine was the HC and he didn’t want to play Manziel until Haslam forced him to.

If DW is damaged goods, someone needs to say so.

If we lose free agents because we cut a man with 25 cases of alleged sexual misconduct and assault, that's a pill I'm willing to swallow.

    Keyword "alleged."

I didn't like the signing either.

Honestly, watch the short clip I shared on page one with Chappelle and Bill Cosby. I'm not going to argue with semantics that these are by definition alleged, but there's level to this stuff. To be sure, I'm not talking at you personally when I say this but just broadly- unless these woman have created one of the greatest conspiracies against an athlete in history, this mofo is an abuser. It's wild people even argue against that.

Right, and he's not somebody that runs the offense that they'd like run.

Who is "Dutch"? I must have him on my ignore list. Flugel seems ok to me.

    Ok, carry on.?
