Yup!  That was a good one!  And he didn't do any jumping up and down like a 5th grader afterwards.  Tackle of the year so far.

Pete Rose died today. He belonged in the HOF

I’m pretty torn up and agree.

Major League Baseball legend Pete Rose has died at the age of 83, the medical examiner in Clark County, Nevada, confirmed to ABC News on Monday.

While there aren’t a lot of details yet about the manner in which he died, Rose was found by a family member, law enforcement told ABC News.

The medical examiner told ABC News that Rose was not under the care of a doctor when he died, and the scene is being examined.

The coroner will investigate to determine the cause and manner of death.

    DPOY DPOY DPOY

This was a very good game for the DPOY and fans of the DPOY

On the last play.of the game, WITH TH3 GAME ON THELINE the Rairders D played like they were all DPOY.

Meanwhile, our Zumba instructor, Mild Garrett made a bunch of fucking plays that didn't amount to shit.

This fuckhole is amazing. Every time he is needed, he goes on vacation.

The Browns need a disruptor. They need someone who can change the mome tum and course of a game. Garrett has never, not once accomplished that.

The fucking guy is a joke.

My mother died a painful death with brain cancer in 2017. However if you and your family are interested in furthering this discussion just make another fucking comment. Pussies like you are always the same. Somebody posts something that you disagree with and you can't stick to the topic. Miles Garrett is a part-time player. He never shows up when you need him. The Raiders pass rushers showed up when they were needed. But in his entire career miles Garrett has never ended the game with a sack or a great defensive play. He is a Zumba instructor. He is lazy and he has no intensity. Now stick to the fucking topic

  • pete rose total hits stats are helped ALOT by the carpeted concrete floors of most stadiums he played in.....

his groundballs rocket past most shortstop / 2nd basemen

sorry it should be an asterisk next to his gambling problem

but really - ask the sportwriters why he isnt a HOF'r

Oh you’re that guy. I knew l liked you for a reason. He was playing on the same surface as everyone else at the time.

Pete eked out longevity. Somehow, someway, and legitimately hit more hits than anyone else in the major leagues during his tenure.

    It counts man.

It still amazes me Ty Cobb got in the HOF but they punish PR... Cobb was a bigger gambler than Pete was and I think he was into some other nefarious activity I thought I heard as well..... I still don't get it but I guess they wanted someone to punish... I hope the commission revisits this and puts him in... He deserves it despite his sins...

Name ONE "sportswriter" that wouldn't have him in the HOF for his play on the field.

Jesus, some here have to be joking with half the crap they spew.

  • Wasn't Rose the guy who was 34, married with two kids when he started having an affair with a 14 year old girl?

14 was his number. We’re pretty aware Pete had a sleazy streak. I think it was a few years ago the stuff started leaking out about the underage girls. The gambling stuff is well documented. Probably other skeletons in his closet too. He’s a super polarizing figure, especially here in Cincy.

But damn he could play baseball, and somehow managed to have a long and mostly injury free career.

I’m pretty sure he would have never gotten the record if Marge Schott didn’t love him so stinkin’ much. There’s another polarizing Cincinnati sports figure, Marge.

I mostly remember Pete’s later playing career, like when Marge made him a player/manager in the mid to late 80s.

I was 10 years old when I watched Rose dive into Ray Fosse in the 1970 Allstar game

a plate collision to try and knock the ball free - Rose did of course, and took Fosse's rookie season out with it.

Dick move but we moved on - Fosse certainly didnt whine or piss and moan (something Jordan Love probably

mastered - rehearsed and delivers publically to any one willing to listen)

Pete Rose played the game at one speed. If a catcher was blocking the plate it was well within the rules to get to the plate and win the game. Happened all the time back in the day. All-Star game or ANY game, Pete Rose played to win. As Rose said after the game: "I didn't know it changed to girls' softball between third and home."

You obviously know nothing about Jordan Love. Go study him more, and you will discover your attempt at trolling is unequivocally pathetic.

Bringing Jordan Love up randomly shows more peculiar Packers jealousy.

And irony of ironies the FO FU of not retaining Flacco led to the injury to Richardson against Pittspuke today which led to Flacco leading the Colts to the 27-24 win.  Get rid of the idiots in the FO. It's they who are responsible for this entire shitshow.

Why are you ragging on the front offiice?  It is obvious that Mayfield and Flacco are inferior QBs compared to Watson the Great

Well Mayfield is stinking up the joint tonight and again demonstrating his inferiority to Watson the Great
