RIP Freddie Salem (The Outlaws)

RIP Akron/Cleveland Guitar legend Freddie Salem (1953-2024)... Freddie was the lead guitarist of the band "The Outlaws" .. A southern rock style band that had hits with ~Ghost Riders in the Sky~ and ~Green Grass and High Tides~ , Both songs became rock anthems and were regularly played on Hard Rock stations across the US.. Freddie was well respected among his peers and known to be a funny and personable man... Mutual colleagues/friends of mine in the Cleveland music scene always had great things to say about him... Here's an Akron Beacon Journal article on his life and death.. I really liked this cat.. Really good player and pretty nice tone.
