The offensive line seems to be playing a little better
Yes. Winston actually had time to throw sometimes. But why? Well, Wyatt Teller came off IR and played. AND, Dewand Jones played LT instead of Wills. That was the best pass protection I saw all year. Plus, Chubb is pretty good at picking up blitzers. Dewand Jones did make at least one bad blocking decision though...when he moved inside and the outside guy came around and got to Winston causing the fumble. Which set up the go ahead score...and what should've been the winning score.
As has been said, Tillman has had two very good weeks! I've been pulling for him. I love WR's that are ready, willing and able blockers.
Good game by Winston! The beautiful passes that he hit the Ravens players with were dropped this week. He is not the QB of the future. He / we had no business winning this game. We've tumbled down the draft order. - That said, it's so nice to beat the Ravens or the Steelers!

Cleveland.com first half? Try one drive. I couldn't believe my eyes.. Night and day. So this is what 1\2 competent QB play looks like? Mad after a win? Well yes, because Watson should have been sat down 3 weeks ago, while the season was still salvageable.
Whoever was responsible for trotting that bum out there when he was looking like a BAD third string QB should be fired. You can wipe that egg off of your face Kev if you think I was dumb enough to believe Watson gives us the best chance to win.
Yeah it's just one game, but damn, Winston wasn't dancing around there taking sacks because he couldn't figure out who was open. Our game winning TD? Care to bet Watson would have thrown it in the seats?

Today was fun again and for me, the win couldn't have come against a better team.
As much fun as I was having I kept thinking about Kevin's quote "Watson gives us the best chance to win" and I said several "Fuck you Kev" out loud.
Hopefully JOK is not injured too bad as that looked pretty damn scary the way his neck extended on impact.
I've had a good run the last 3 sporting events (games 1 & 2 World Series and today) so that means it's time to pay the reaper for me, so put all your money on a Skankees comeback.

I could only watch the highlights, but of course Winston gets the offense moving. He takes chances and slings it, sure he’s going to throw his picks but you can’t win if you are a single read half of the field check down guy, which is what Watson became in the end.
Dont wanna see any of the OL and Chubb excuses for Watson either. We all saw how he played even when he had a pocket and time.

We also definitely blew the game against the bengals by making DTR the QB2, not sure who the bone head is that made that call but it was a terrible one.

If some are going claim that Haslam meddles, then he was the one to mandate that Dorsey be given the chance to run his O and call the plays, and told Kevin to play Winston.
It only makes sense, right?

Maybe, on that last drive he threw a ball right to a raven that was dropped and earlier in the game while in the red zone he threw another pick that was dropped, so ya I think we would have a better record and sure as hell would have been more fun to watch. But a winning record ?

Let me say it this way- I like the Browns to win the Giants and Bengals game big time if Winston was QB. Shit, even one of those games and we're still right there. The Chargers, Saints, and Broncos are all winnable games coming up too.
To the should have been INT- I ain't going to disagree there. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, and fortunes favors the bold in the NFL. Flacco was throwing the ball to the other team, a lot, and yet they were winning games.
It just really, really sucks that we've seen three different times what quality, back-up level QB play can look like and yet Watson was (and probably still fucking will be) slammed down our throats. The reason the line played better is because Watson wasn't running into sacks and seeing ghosts. The reason WRs were catching the ball is because they were catchable throws. It's just absurd how this team can defend Watson anymore.

Lamar also had dropped INTs, not as crucial as Hamiltons. But it’s part of the game.
Bengals we win even with Watson starting, if Winston was QB2
Giants yea, they tried to give us the game so badly but we wouldn’t take it.
And the raiders, was another we had on a buffet table but tripped and fell over on the way to it.
Admittedly that’s the easy schedule, but we had those wins.

The only Watson argument is that he wasn’t turning the ball over, but he wasn’t throwing it. He was throwing 2 yard checkdowns or 20 yards over the receivers head and going 3 and out. It’s hard to win if you lose the turnover battle (as Winston has often done), but it’s impossible to win with whatever that offense was under Watson.

Maybe. It seemed to me Kevin was married to Watson. Once #4 was done - Kevin seemed to give up play calling. This could be because Kevin and Watson had a more conservative gameplan where as Dorsey and Winston are more risk takers.
Either way Kevin deserves 100% blame for how the season started. Even if higher ups demanded #4 to play, Kevin should have grown a pair and made the right decision. It was obvious to everyone #4 was not getting it done.
