  • How long until Gaetz lowers the age of consent? Seems like it would be high on his agenda

    The Democrats would love that...

I don't really know much about this guy other than how terrifying the Botox made his face look at the RNC. Imagine having to look up at that mug as he throws the book at you.

From a policy perspective, everything Lee Fang mentions in the above article sounds good to me.

Sure, would be great if he limited stock trading for politicians. Would not nearly make up for the other crazy shit he's poised to do.

Basically the "worse person you know just made a good point" meme

    Such as?

  • May be an image of 2 people and text that says 'donaldjtrumpjr · Dr. Richard Harambe @Richard Ha... 26m 26m... The people that were ok with this person being in charge of nuclear waste have issues with Pete Hegseth'

I have zero faith in Matt Gaetz to not do anything insane. Sorry, no, I don't have specifics. I'm sure he'll do whatever Trump asks and whatever he can to protect / empower him.

The reaction across both sides of the aisle to this nomination speaks volumes

That's why Trump is in there to clean it up.

Are you basing your opinion of Gaetz because the corrupt don't like him or do you just not like him cause he doesn't look like you?

  • Actually, the more I see the left hating on him, the more I like him!

I really don't like the guy but, he deserves a confirmation hearing. I don't think he gets thru.

    I don’t know.

Gaetz has been a fierce critic of the justice system and its lawfare.
You gotta like that about the guy.

Need to root out the liberal scum.

    .... Haha

    I wonder why ...... .......

    Because they’re scum.

Your side has only themselves to blame.

Your side ain’t laughing much these days.

You're calling him insane, but you can't come up with a single example of an insane thing he's done?

  • If Gaetz didn't look like a stand in for the "Good Fellows" movie I'd be a lil more comfortable about this even tho he is totally destroying Austin..

Still, his confirmation is a long shot

Well he's unqualified for the position, he would be a complete Trump lackey with controllable baggage, and he's at best way too close to a sex with minors / trafficking case and at worst quality if multiple crimes. Oh, and there are plenty of reports of him on the house floor being an absolute sleazeball. He probably shouldn't go from being under investigation to being in charge. The right likes throwing around "lawfare" because their guy actually broke the rules. Gaetz being AG for Trump sounds like a setup for actual lawfare.

What exactly do you like about him being nominated? Just like RFK Jr, he's said one or two things in the past that are positive (e.g., stopping Congressmen and women from owning stocks) but I 1) don't think he'd actually make any difference here and 2) this doesn't outweigh everything else.

If this was just maneuvering by him to get out of his own ethics report on his sleazeball behavior, well, it looks like it worked.

C’mon Woody, many on left will not deny lawfare was real. Try and shed your denial.

New York AG Letitia James campaigned on the promise to get Trump.

Too bad for you, weaponizing the justice system for the purpose of taking down a political opponent didn’t go your way.
