  • Watched film of Cam Ward vs Duke. The first comparison that came to mind was Johnny Manziel. Piss-poor footwork with his whole body squared up with the line of scrimmage during his dropback. Looks for the big play all the time. Mobile with decent pocket awareness, but not fast enough to pull this stuff off at the next level. Don't want him at all and doubt anyone will love him enough to trade up with us to get him.

Also looked at Sanders vs Baylor. Excellent footwork. Has a decent enough deep ball, but not enough arm strength to rely on it at the NFL level. Mobile with good pocket awareness. He's intriguing, looks like you could plug him into a pro system more easily than Ward. He's never coming to Cleveland though with what Coach Prime has said when asked if his son were to be drafted by a poorly run franchise.

I also saw Coach Prime tweet something that he was misquoted on that.

I do think if the NYG pick 1st, Deion would be thrilled with his son in the Big Apple. No clue if Deion would be ok with the Browns & Stefanski.

Just my opinion, I'd rebuild the trenches & grab some playmaking LB. Our defense desperately needs an impact LB or 2.

We've gotta get some OL help somehow.  I'm thinking LT if we don't take a QB.  Of course, you know Jimmuh...he likes GLITZZY!  And an OLineman isn't very sexy.

There's no misquoting. Coach prime, on tv, said he'd step in if his son was drafted to the wrong team. The Browns and Jets are the two teams who 100% fall into that category.

  • No worries.  He's gonna be a Giant.

  • Watched Milroe vs Vandy. His mid-range accuracy and touch stands out. Didn't really showcase a big arm in this game. His footwork is good although a bit flat-footed. Pocket presence and mobility is good, but not fast enough to be much of a running threat at the NFL level.

My QB Big Board with a sample size of 1 game of each of these QBs is
    1 - Sanders
    2 - Milroe
    3 - Ward

? Tankathon!   As long as we don't make it Park Place.

Come on FO from Harvard - don't tell me you forgot how to study for all those big tests.  There's lots of film out there so giddy up and get after it.  Forget the 1 year band-aids for a change and focus on how to build a team and healthy salary cap.  If you don't know how to draft we're stuck in park...

Does anyone trust this Harvard crap to pick a QB?

I completely trust them to pick a QB.  I do not trust them to pick a good one.

As you know, we've witnessed previous Browns owners to profess their "confidence" in their crew, then axe 'em.

Jimmy basically said they're  safe last week, or earlier this week. If I'm DePodesta I'm sending resumes out like yesterday ?

It can be handled no other way.  I mean, what else are you going to do?  Tell the media, Yeah, I'm leaning towards firing them.  Even Jimmuh's not that big of a jackass.

Thanks Bob!  IMO, he should go back to MLB.  I think most of the differences he had with our previous GM were that he didn't use very much film study.  The film shows you the why behind the tendencies/situational football.  Always has...

You are correct, he's going to smile and say optimistic sunshine and rainbows statements.

When the season ends, possibly at 3-14, with the QB situation in shambles, things can change.

But why tip your hand now?

Remember a long time ago when Ross Verba (the self proclaimed Best LT in the Game) asked the owner (Lerner) if he was going to fire Butch Davis?  He, of course told Verba that he was not.  But he did fire him.  I think they stated that it was a mutual decision, he and Davis.

I believe our SOS will go up though next week when we lose to the Ravens.  That’s the tiebreaker unfortunately

I can’t see us picking beyond 4 or 5 unless we screw this up and win a meaningless game

That would be so Browns of them to win the last 2 meaningless games

I had to laugh at the Giants today.  The one team that really needs Sanders and Sanders will okay the NY market and they will move to 4 now and will likely have to give up future picks to move up.  Bahaha.

Stay ahead Vegas and NYG and maybe we can negotiate with both teams for Sanders.   But he could easily fall to the Giants at 4.

Giants have Eagles next week SOS will go up.

So lose out and other games fall in line we are #3.

Pats and Titans firmly ahead of us with SOS factored in unless they win next week.
