  • @texasag1969 rumor has it there was an Aggie that did pretty well.  Do you want to tell us about it?

And when he does - does @tiamat63 have anything to make sure he keeps it real?

    Not to instigate anything... ?

That should be Garrett's astonishment at Stewart beating him in the 40 and the broad jump.  LOL?

Oh, and did I mention his 10 yard split on the 40 was 1.58, 1st among all DLs?

I mean not to instigate anything or nothing.?

Shemar Stewart Edge Texas A&M. The one tia and I have a friendly bet on whether he gets selected in the 1st round or not. I say yes and tia says no. He killed the Combine with similar scores as Garrett had.

  • Not for nothing, Stacey Dales is a freakin HOTTIE!  She played DI Hoops at Oklahoma and excelled at it.  Anyway, she had a good interview with Travis Hunter if anyone caught it.  He says he can even place kick and punt.  He'd fill a lot of needs; but our punter is pretty good though...

  • Safety - Nick Emmanwori 6'3" 220 lbs South Carolina Gamecocks ran a 4.4 forty.   If we're not gonna draft this very big talent for a very big need (remember Eric Turner?)  - I hope nobody in the AFC North gets him...

  • The combine is useful, but not a tell all.

My feeling is players move up more because of others falling due to poor testing numbers. At least the higher profile guys from higher profile schools.  Smaller school guys might jump because teams may not have had enough information to make any real informed judgment.

The interviews are important and just having all the team together is big.  That is where the seeds for trade are planted and you might start to get a feel for who other teams have interest.

Worthy of note.  We've seen the look like Tarzan play like Jane over the years from some of the top combine fitness achievers.  There's some good highlights of Emmanwori out there that I'll try to dig up later today ballpeen.

1 year Hoorta and I had a little disagreement on Orlando Browns Jr because the guy with one of the longest wing spans in the draft had a coyote ugly experience on the bench press and other assessments. I knew where Larry was coming from; but I told him, he's pretty freakin good on film and his college QB (Baker) said he didn't give up any sacks off the blind side.  Today?  The same guy has Pro Bowls at Right Tackle and Left Tackle on his resume.  The last few years he's been sidelined with injuries.

Remember Wayne Chrebet?  He didn't even get invited to the Combine; because he played for little school out on Long Island (Hofstra) that Marques Colston later attended as well before the football program was terminated.
