    https://www.msn.com/en-us/politics/government/syrian-rebels-steal-food-aid-from-christians-watchdog-warns-of-ethnic-cleansing/ar-AA1vD301

The "so-called 'opposition forces,'" Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, are a "reconstructed remnant" of Islamic extremist groups such as the Islamic State and Al Qaeda. Over the weekend, HTS led rebels in capturing Damascus a week after the takeover of Aleppo and Hama that resulted in the ousting of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

"Considered a terrorist organization, they have, in less than two weeks, ethnically cleansed the northwest of Syria — including Aleppo and beyond — of Kurds and Christians," Curry said. "Despite public protestations to the contrary, we can expect them to extend their campaign to the rest of the country."

Curry said that when the civil war in Syria began more than a decade ago, Christians constituted approximately 10% of the population, which was about 1.5 million people.

After years of constant fighting and persecution perpetuated by jihadist radicals, however, that number has dwindled to just 300,000.

This is from 3 months ago but the ethnic cleansing is in full operation. You can find bloody videos if you want but it's hard to find stories of what's going on.

Will we see college protests over this? Of course not.

Why isn't this all over the media?

Because this was never a nation building project by an American president like Ukraine or Iraq and they are not an ally with a list of obligations for us to follow.  There is no narrative to push by the media other than a holy war, which no one wants for now.

I thought most of the coptics left on their own anyways.

          https://www.middleeasteye.net/explainers/did-us-fund-syrian-rebels-toppled-assad

After Syrian opposition forces led an offensive that rapidly swept through Syria's major cities in a matter of weeks and ultimately led to the fall of Bashar al-Assad's government, US President Joe Biden publicly took credit for the rebel takeover.

"Our approach has shifted the balance of power in the Middle East," Biden said earlier this week.

"Through this combination of support for our partners, sanctions, and diplomacy and targeted military force when necessary, we now see new opportunities opening up for the people of Syria and for the entire region."

Biden's comments, as well as a deluge of commentary claiming that Washington - and Israel - were secretly behind the offensive, have caused questions to resurface about the US's role in Syria over the past decade and a half.

Under the Barack Obama administration, the United States first entered the Syrian civil war in 2013 through CIA operations, and later in 2014, when US troops were deployed to fight the Islamic State (IS) group that had taken over large swathes of Iraqi and Syrian territory.

People on here were worried about the Gaza genocide, but no mention of this one. A true genocide that's actually taking place.

I guess if they can't hate on Israel then they're not worried about genocides.

Yep. It's sad - politically self-serving fake outrage.
