Aww...it's nice to be missed. I'm back now. I only half watched the video while working on a set list. Sounded about right to me.
It certainly would not be overly surprising for Shedeur & Daddy to drive the situation off the rails at some point before the first snap of the regular season.

Ultimately, nobody wanted him early in the draft for multiple football and non football reasons. But once he slid to the 5th round all anyone could talk about was the fact that they had a much higher grade on him...including the Browns. The Browns already had their QB in Gabriel, and the 2 first rounders for next year's QB round robin. But they still thought highly enough of him to package up their final two draft picks (a fifth and a sixth) to move up early in the round to get him right before the Eagles could pick him. And they were going to pick him because although they didn't need Sanders, they also had a much higher grade on him (2nd round? I think I heard at the time).
Yes, you were right. And late in the process when it became apparent that Sanders was not going to be drafted early I was of the 'trade out' camp. I wanted draft assets for the QB next year and another pick for this year. I wanted more rookie contracts because of our Watson & Garrett contracts. I wasn't hoping for a deal as good as Berry got from the Jags though.

I saw his corny dancing video when we picked him, and he seemed genuinely fired up. The Browns have created a really interesting QB competition scenario, and how they manage that will be make or break. This is Stefanski’s year to show us what he’s got.

Yes indeed Syd! Having said that, doing this all the way into round 5 made it quite the interesting passive AGGRESSIVE.
Deion probably never had that many panic attacks in 1 day. Just imagine if they added these 2 words immediately after announcing the pick: JUST KIDDING...

Before we get started, I like Shedeur's accuracy enough to be happy the Browns drafted him and especially when/where they drafted him - I think. ?
Did Shedeur ever get an agent? Or, will this be like a Cleveland version of Lamar's mom as agent only it's Shedeur's dad trying to go Prime Time with a round 5 rookie pay-scale? What could possibly go wrong?
I can almost hear the beginning of the negotiations after the Browns' 1st offer. "Hold it right there! He got a bigger allowance from me when he started playing youth football. Now he's arrived at his life-long dream; and y'all want to do this to him?"

Having said that, here's hope that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't the head lamp of an oncoming train with that accuracy stuff. The TD:INT ratio and completion % shown below doesn't show me a stupid QB. Smart people that don't use their eyes in this game play stupid. Those that don't sound smart when they talk but they use their eyes in this game play smart...
