Mentor, Parma top list of US News and World Report's Best Places to Live in Ohio'

Interesting list. I’m not sure how Hamilton made it to #4 in Ohio. That’s near my neck of the woods. Hamilton has made some strides in recent years but l’m not sure it made that many strides.
I’m familiar with the 2 Indiana towns in the national top 10. Carmel is the land of a thousand roundabouts. I’ve never seen a community that hates stop signs as much as they do. And Fishers has an incredible community. Great schools and people that really put their back into their community.

Good for them.
I have never been to Mentor, but I wouldn't want to live in Parma, and that isn't intended as a knock.
Obviously they meet the criteria metrics US News is looking for. I loaded up and scrolled all 250 towns. I have been to a good many. In fairness, just passing for some, but for many i have spent a good deal of time. Some should be much higher, and some wouldn't even be on my list.

And another thing.
How did Lima crack number 5? I love me a Kewpie burger as much as the next guy, but what else does that town have going for it?
And how does Dayton outrank Cincy? Come on now!

Mentor is a great area for shopping, commerce big and small businesses and a lot of real estate and manufacturing companies thrive there... There are a lot of good restaurants from Longhorn Steak house and various chains to Local eateries and family owned businesses.. Longo's , Pastina and Zappatellis and TJ's on the Avenue are some of my favorites.. It is ethnically diverse... A lot of great parks and Marsh lands to explore... The two big families that basically own Mentor are the Osborne family and the Zappatelli family... Zappateli owns various businesses from Restaurants, Dentistry , Car wash and other sundries and outlets... Osborne and Farranacis have cornered the construction and real estate industry in Mentor along with other businesses and enterprises...
