Prior to the operation, ICE received information from a source that “The Alamo"-–an underground illegal nightclub-–was the location of weapons, narcotics, and human trafficking. ICE also seized cash, narcotics, and firearms during the operation.

- 72 arrests, including individuals with serious prior offenses.
- 6 juveniles recovered and turned over to state social services for protection and care.
Arrests are still being processed.

Illegal clubs can be pretty cool. For whatever reason l dug in to this, l wanted to know how much drugs and weapons they seized. I love those photos of cops looking all proud of themselves with the pounds of cocaine and uzis they seized.
I don’t think they seized a photo op worthy amount with this raid, which was called “Operation Last Stand.” Kinda sounds like they thought they’d have a real fight on their hands. Maybe a little corny with the name choice with the way it played out?
I read a few articles on it, mostly from local news outlets round those parts. I thought this one was the most balanced.
Sounds like The Alamo had a good few year run as a hot spot for dancing amongst the Spanish speakers there. Years from now they will say “¿Recuerda el Alamo?”
