Matt Gaetz as Attorney General? (Don't like this choice at all)
-
I am gonna be so disappointed if it's someone like Jim Jordan or Max Miller. The whole point of electing Trump was to enact change. Color me shocked that Gaetz, the guy who was pointing out that Republicans on the House Ethics Committee are making tens of millions of dollars off of insider trading, conveniently has a pedo accusation. One that Merrick Garland investigated but refused to prosecute. I'm really not thrilled that he gets ousted because of an accusation.
I guess my next top choices would be Ken Paxton or Greg Abbott, though I doubt he'd want to leave being governor.
Id go with Paxton... Rumour has it DeSantis want Gaetz as senator so that would be a fuck you to the dems...

Trump has had the past 4 years to think about this stuff.
Im thinking a lot of this stuff has been played out before we even see it…

I heard someone on the radio mention that Gaetz might be appointed as Chief of Staff - to the AG.
Doesn't need Senate approval......
Bondi should have been the pick in the first place.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but these opinions are why AIPAC-bought congress would never allow Gaetz to be a part of Trump's cabinet, and why I maintain he'd have been a better choice than Pam Bondi. The pedo accusations remain complete bullshit.

Good to see Gaetz found a new paying gig. Those Venmo transfers definitely add up.

That's the fate of any Florida politician who dares speak out against the greatest nation in the world.

Such as?
I have zero faith in Matt Gaetz to not do anything insane. Sorry, no, I don't have specifics. I'm sure he'll do whatever Trump asks and whatever he can to protect / empower him.
The reaction across both sides of the aisle to this nomination speaks volumes

Looks like Pam Bondi did exactly that. The people who were against Gaetz on both sides of the aisle were Democrats and Republican neocons - if those two groups agree on something, it's usually a bad idea (e.g. - BBB).

Peckerwood
Ethnic slur for white peoplepeckerwoodsmc.comPeckerwood is a US racial epithet used against white people, especially poor rural whites. Originally an ethnic slur, the term has been reclaimed by a subculture related to prison gangs and outlaw motorcycle clubs. The term was in use as an inversion of woodpecker in the Southern United States by the 1830s; it is also with the sense referring to white people documented from the 1850s. African-American folklore in the 1920s contrasted the white "peckerwood" bird with the African-American blackbird. The word became a common term in Jive. Wikipedia
