Don't remember which tiktok video I was scrolling through when I heard this song and looked it up. Remind me a little bit of mary chapin carpenter. Anyway i'm not usually a big country fan but I really love this song.

The Psychedelic Furs continue to tour. Mars Williams, their longtime sax/clarinet player kicked it last year. RIP Mars. Richard Butler still has the most iconic voice in rock n roll. I’ll fight you on that. Get it while you can.
You got me flashing back to college with these guys. I'll pop a couple Furs tunes in here for yuz.

Slim chance any of you have heard of these guys, but the first Dag Nasty album is an absolute ripper. Big drive, big crunch and big hooks.

An iconic moment in music history... I remember the first time I heard Jimi Hendrix.. I was with my mother and her friend riding to my grandmothers house... An 8 track of Woodstock was playing in the car riding down Route 2.. I had about a year under my belt playing guitar..I was 12 years old (1977) Then this sound emanated from the car stereo speakers that just blew me away... It forever changed my life.. It was instant gratification and connection.. My mother then pulled out that 8 track of the Woodstock concert.. And handed it to me... From then on.. I wore it out... I studied the hell out of it... Absorbing every tonality my mind could absorb.. It cemented my love for music and the guitar.. From that day on... I was a different person... There were a lot of musical firsts in my Mothers big blue cadillac.. Burt Bacharach was another that always stuck with me... The tonality and the clarity.. I still get goose bumps thinking of that day and how it transformed me in ways I didn't yet understand.. After alimost 50 years of this awakening... I just want to say... "Thank you , Mom"

Figured I'd get a little Hendrix in with the inspiration from the above post.

I have been watching a series on the American Hobo on Youtube.. presented by survival and Bushcraft instructor James Bender of Waypoint Survival.... It inspired me to write this short instrumental I call.. The Hobo Train... Here's a rough Idea of what i've strung together so far... It's tricky fingering and sneaking in that quick pull off lick is tough considering I have neouopathy..
But I keep working it.... Enjoy...

I was reminded of early Cure today. Before they settled on their eventual happy sad gothy format, they were a little bit punk and a little bit psych.
