so, it fell apart because the asswholes in the biden regime cancelled Pres Trump's sanctions on the russian pipeline. To support the russian failing communist system, they wanted to own gas transport to Europe, bypassing the Ukraine.

If they can get a peace deal, does anyone expect another administration to do anything when russia invades again?

Has everyone involved forgotten that russia had a security promise deal with Ukraine, when the Ukraine gave up their nukes?

Has everyone involved forgotten that putin has always lamented that the soviet union dissolved?

Have they forgotten that russian troops/mercenaries raped, murdered and tortured part of their way into the Ukraine ?

Will Pres Trump be the Ukraine's only chance to avoid being totally destroyed?

Let's see what happens. It seems like Putin keeps saying what they want to hear but then keeps doing whatever he wants.

Like Gen. Jack Keane said, he's skeptical of anything putin says.

Putin buys time, but he knows Trump will act if he thinks he's being played. The problem is, russia is desperate to float their economy, and that is why they invaded the Ukraine.

Russia invaded Georgia for the same reasons they invaded the Ukraine. Desperate to keep the gas/oil well stimulus or they fail completely, it was for economic and geopolitical reasons. and the russian/georgia war sounds so much like the russian-Ukraine war.

            And South Ossetia?

            2006 Russia-Georgia energy crisis

The 2006 Russia–Georgia energy crisis describes an international incident triggered by two explosions on the Mozdok–Tbilisi natural gas pipeline in North Ossetia on January 22, 2006. The explosions suspended gas supply to Georgia at a time when the weather was particularly cold, leading to allegations of deliberate energy blackmail carried out by the Russian government

and get this: if russia could have owned the Black Sea, they could have owned the Ukraine:

              https://hir.harvard.edu/washington-must-not-idle-as-russia-tightens-its-abkhazian-stranglehold/

Russia's Tightening Abkhazian Stranglehold Threatens Western and Georgian Interests

              "

The Ochamchire agreement plays directly into the Russian war effort against Ukraine. Russia’s Black Sea Fleet has long enjoyed relative superiority over the strategically crucial body of water, and as such, analysts once anticipated that Russia would utilize its naval position to swiftly overrun key Ukrainian ports. Were Russia to have captured Odessa, it could have effectively imposed a barrier between the Ukrainian Army and the Black Sea, land-locking defense forces and forcing surrender.

Reality played out differently. Ukraine secured a first major victory by sinking the Moskva flagship and exacting “the most significant loss by any navy in 40 years.” Shortly thereafter, Ukraine’s massive September strikes on Black Sea Fleet headquarters in Sevastopol prompted a total Russian withdrawal from the once-fortified naval stronghold, an outcome that severely hindered Russia’s ability to influence foreign movement and operations on the Black Sea. Thus, Russia sought a new, more eastern base."

Putin is playing with fire - but he is old kgb, watch for another war to start, even if the Ukraine war gets "over".

Why is russia trying to completely own the Ukraine?

Look at the map of oil pipelines. The Ukraine stands in their way of dominating the transport of their oil/gas.

now look at the map of the Ukraine's rare earth mineral deposits that we have a treaty for:

Russia will not give that up. They will be happy to have a peace treaty, but will NOT give up the valued terroritory they murdered, raped and tortured so many Ukrainians for. Oh, and kidnapped children from the Ukraine for.

A peace treaty with the russians means they will stop warring against the Ukraine, and go elsewhere to start another war, folks. They will continue the deliberate bombing of civilians until the Ukraine lets them keep those territories with the mineral deposits. That is what I think.
