Let's hope this palace has better entertainment in it than the one Jerry Jones owns.  Football is the furthest thing on that guy's mind since he got that thing. Having said that, I'm guessing he has it more about the families with enough cake to attend the event on Sundays.  There's probably a petting zoo or mini circus for kids (now that Jerruh has grandkids and great grandkids) before/after the circus on the field takes place. At least that owner won 3 Super Bowls once upon a time when he hired a football mind to orchestrate it all.

I could be wrong here once again - BUT I got a feeling Jimmy feels like this is the worst time to fire anyone in the FO so it'll go the usual scapegoat route of just firing Stefanski.  That'll excite or pacify fans that are certain he's the only problem until of course they see the people in charge of the hiring want another HC they can control all the way down to approving the offensive game plan in a Thursday or Friday meeting that also includes the owner.

The Browns aren't getting better until they improve those in power doing the hiring and drafting.   Hope I'm wrong but that's gonna take a back seat to Jimmy's Palace for at least a couple years. I'm just too dumb to do anything but:

    Totally agree.

I bet one reason John Dorsey got canned was because he wasn't a "yes man."

Haslam's structure doesn't allow free-thinking, at least not beyond his desk.

Did AB have a good draft this year? I think we'd all say yes, we have some promising rookies, yet Haslam has said Shedeur was his pick. Jimmy just can't help himself, can't keep his hands off the football part. Maybe SS turns into something good/great, which would validate the meddling. The organizational craziness never ends.

    It’s for the better.

Look what happened the last time the Browns moved out of the city.

And JW Johnson (Jimmie's Son in Law) was the only one in the war room with a shit eating grin on his face when the Sanders selection was made... One has to wonder how much influence on Jimmie this goof has... The thought of Jimmie passing and this goof getting control of the team scares the living fuck out of me...

I just dropped mine this year, after 45 years of having them. The last straw was playing DTR the last 2 home games.

Almost as good - was when John Dorsey ripped the notebook of Analytics in half that DePodesta placed on his desk.  That might have been his last act as GM here - but that did Dorsey-Doe himself a much better opportunity in Detroit.  We could say Detroit got rewarded for his walk-off home run in Cleveland.  It's just stale football here today following our 3-14 season last year.  Not to worry, there will be at least 1 rookie QB next year sentenced to growing pains and 1 organization that doesn't understand Offensive Tackle should be a priority.  Even a well-respected OL Coach Bill Callahan couldn't wait to get outta here with the Poindexters in the FO in charge...

JMO, that trade was made to satisfy Jimmy. I don't doubt what you're saying about the Son-In-Law Nicks; but Jimmy had the only ear to ear grin that caught my attention. I'm betting it was the 1st time Jimmy exhaled all day. As for the part in bold, that's perfect with the only way it needed to be said... ?

I think Haslam patterns himself after Jerry Jones.

He wants to be "involved". He wants to think he's part of the process. He wants to hire guys that will be ok with that.

All of you posting your "Shitpanski" and "Stupidanski" gems (not you Bob) are incredibly short-sighted. If you think just firing Stefanski  (which at this point I think should happen) is going to solve anything you are incredibly naive. The Browns could totally clean house, fire Stefanski, Berry and Depodesta and start over fresh in 2026, but the biggest problem will still be there. Jimmy and Dee Haslam.

I honestly do not believe they can hire a GM or head coach that is even remotely in-demand, because IMO I do not believe a person with options would have any interest coming to this organization. Kevin Stefanski received TWO head coach interviews - one with the Browns in 2019 when they stayed in-house and hired Freddie Kitchens, one with the Browns in 2020 when he got the gig. That's it. No one else even interviewed him.

And IMO he will not be the Browns head coach in 2026. And it wouldn't surprise me if down the road many of us look back at him and say:

"Man, maybe he wasn't that bad. He somehow got this trainwreck into the playoffs twice in six seasons and occasionally beat AFC North teams..." because the Haslams will still be in charge, and THEY are the biggest problem with this team, and why I'm not optimistic things are going to get better.
