The 6'5" son of NFL player Chris Henry is the only five star player in the '26 Ohio State class, but it's still a very good group of players, easily rated a top 10 overall class. I'm excited about the Ohio kids they got on the OLine and the LB they nabbed from Cleveland Glenville (The Glenville to Columbus Pipeline is Still Alive!).

Speaking of recruiting, read something today that of the 136 FBS schools, Penn State's recruiting class was rated 135th! It's been a disaster in Unhappy Valley since Franklin was canned, and he stole players he recruited to Penn State and brought them to his new gig at Virginia Tech. He finished with almost a top 20 class there. I believe it is just now coming out that Penn State will hire Matt Campbell from Iowa State as their new HC. I believe he's an Ohio boy.

Ohio State does not play Penn State the next two seasons, as Penn State elected not to list Ohio State as a "protected team".

  • Yep, Matt Campbell was born in Massillon and played DE at Mount Union for HC Larry Kehres.

He was an assistant at MU, and Bowling Green before he took the HC job at Toledo.

This seems like a really good hire.  Then again, I thought if James Franklin could put together back-to-back 9 win seasons at Vandy - just think what he could do at Penn State...
