Rob Reiner

  • Rob Reiner publicly refused to express sympathy after Rush Limbaugh announced his cancer diagnosis, arguing that Limbaugh had caused lasting harm to the country through his rhetoric.
Reiner said Limbaugh bore moral responsibility for deep political and social division and that his illness did not warrant compassion given his past influence.
After Limbaugh’s death, Reiner again declined to offer condolences, insisting that death did not erase what he viewed as decades of damaging commentary.
His remarks sparked backlash from critics who called them cruel and vindictive in light of Limbaugh’s terminal illness, while supporters said he was being blunt about Limbaugh’s legacy.

Do you two understand the MASSIVE hypocrisy between these two posts? No doubt both written by pro MAGA folks?

What the second post is asking for is what Reiner (apparently) did regarding Limbaugh (according to the first post)

    You understand that, right?

You're missing the point completely. You don't understand the disconnect between the posts I quoted. You don't even understand why Trump's response pissed people off.

I don't need to question your intelligence. I know you're the dumbest poster on here.

  • Yikes fellas…

For those of you able to separate your cinema from your politics, do you have any favorite Reiner flicks?

I wasn’t totally aware of all the big screen movies he directed so l looked them up. Only 23 of them, but certainly some gems among them. Stand By Me is a personal favorite. Spinal Tap really wasn’t that good but it had its moments amongst us rocker types. I’m sure we’ve all cracked a joke about our amps going to 11.

Has anyone seen the second Spinal Tap? I have not.

Princess Bride wasn’t that great either, but l would argue it’s hit “iconic” status just because it keeps getting handed down and even 10 year olds can quote it.

I recall the Bucket List being pretty good, and so was Ghosts of Mississippi. I either haven’t seen the rest or l don’t remember them well enough to have an opinion.

I wouldn't have to call it if you wouldn't show it.

    Inconceivable!

Just kidding. It is a fun flick. Very quotable in its own right.
