Currently our 2025 first round pick is....

After the win we're picking 6th. ( there's never a time or reason to lose to Pittsburgh )
I think Dante Moore is going back to Oregon, which means we probably weren't going to be in a position to get a haul for our #2 overall pick.
Honestly, with what we need and the way this draft is shaking out being at #6 is going to be fine.

The Raiders have positioned themselves for Mendoza anyway. Nobody's prying him from them. It's not the end of the world that we move down 3 spots...as long as there's an OT or WR there worthy of the pick.

the Browns, so far pick sixth?
Here's what I think the choices are:
OT Francis Mauigoa, Miami (FL)
WR Jordyn Tyson, Arizona State
WR Carnell Tate, Ohio State
which one?
eh..........
Maybe I see Tate as similar to Mike Evans.
So, my pick would be........................
Carnell Tate. My LT pick, even though he may not be there where the Browns pick later in the first round, is:
Trevor Goosby, LT, Texas.
So far,
with the third round pick, the Browns trade it and whatever else,
and Njoku, to move up to the top ten of the second round and draft:
Drew Shelton, ROT/LOT, Penn State.
that is so far what I think.

Last time we went this route, Mike Holmgren was born, he stole a bunch of money from Cleveland.
DePo is gone. Let's see what AB can do before bringing in more "experts."

Does Chris Shula have ties to Don Shula? Mike Shula? ?
but there are 2 things, first i believe he would have to keep rees as oc and second is JosinaAnderson reliable source ?

I don't think Josina is reliable, she is just like us, a fan.

After beating the NE Patriots in the opener - the Raiders worked their fannies off the rest of the way to EARN the 2026 pick of the litter (or possibly 3 of the NYJ's 5 1st round picks in the next 2 years + 1 or 2 more picks in rounds 2 or 3).
Speaking of the NE Pa-try-its, I adore the way they do things. Got their 1st round QB in 2024 and then drafted their LT Will Campbell at #4 overall in 2025. We need TWO starting OTackles and it's conceivable we could begin with the RT Spencer Fano (Utah) - see cut and paste below:
Or RT Francis Mauigoa whom most opponents wish his OLine Coach would say "Lighten up Francis!" Here's a cut and paste of his goodies below. He could also play either Guard spot if teams get too nervous that his am length is an inch or 2 too short. That said, a good base below often compensates for this before a nervous induced knee-jerk to OG. This year A LOT of NFL teams need OTackles in a drafted that doesn't have a big enough supply of sudden impact for the demand. Get em early or cry about keeping your QBs healthy in 2026. That simple! Dawand Jones is Fools Gold as 3 consecutive IRs remind us of the saying "if you fail to prepare; then prepare to fail" - Head Coach Don Santini, Fairport Red Raiders 1981.
Or, we can draft LT Caleb Lomu (Utah) who started as a red shirt freshman and sophomore on one of the best OLines in the country. Any wonder why Michigan wanted & hired the Head Coach of Utah? That's a perfect time to get this guy when best football isn't in the rear view mirror. This is a kid that has worked tirelessly on his footwork and agility; which is something Jed Wills didn't appear to do very long here. An OLine coach like Bill Callahan could work some magic with this guy. Then again, why not bring Joe Thomas back to this side of the Atlantic Ocean back in Cleveland where he belongs? Let's make some good hires eh? Anyway - see cut & paste...
scouts love.
Back to RT for another option if we draft Lomu with out 1st pick. He's a RT from Iowa Gennings Dunker who played for HC Kirk Ferentz (former OL Coach of the Cleveland Browns from 93-95) before he returned to the recruiting attraction of the corn fields in Iowa and perpetuated a winning program known for the OL and TEs is been equipping the NFL with. The cut and paste below will give more of the arm length stuff I spoke of and clarified. Half the guys making those comments never played in the trenches. Having said that, we're gonna need help at OG too. Joel Bitonio was an OT in college converted to LG in the NFL and that worked out pretty damn good (so, it fills a need either way)...
In all, we have 3 early picks that the Browns could arrange/rearrange via trade back inclusive of trade up to get 2 of these Tackles and a WR.

Anyone like Jordyn Tyson? I like him more than I like Tate. Wouldn't mind us trading back a few spots to get him.
-
We'll go from pick #6 to #7 if we beat the Bengals. And to move up from pick #6 requires a 3 win team to win...which isn't gonna happen since all of their opponents are jockeying for the better playoff seeding.
Would love to see another win for Shedeur (and all), but I don't want to sit and watch Washington pick right before us either. - I'll take the win with a smile. Or I'll take pick #6 without celebration.

Sure - but I would pick Tate over him - has the injury history, and fumbles after the catch history less size.... if I had to rank em. Tyson is right up there with Tate, I think.

Yeah, I'm reading a lot of good stuff about Tyson without seeing him play to give a strong opinion. Keep in mind, Tate might not have a #1 WR on the other side of formation as good as he had at Ohio State especially if Cleveland drafted him. I think there's more talented WRs in this draft than LTs so I hope the Browns realize they can't afford to blow off LT/OT...
-
I think we go WR round 1, and our next two picks OL. Personally, I'm excited at the prospect of having an elite WR. I've watched Tyson plenty, he reminds me of Justin Jefferson.

Tate was not impressive to me against Miami, but Smith is on another planet. I think taking Tate as our 1st #1 might be a huge mistake from what I saw.

Agreed. He lacks that deep end speed + he's really thin. Physical corners might give him problems in the press. And yeah, Jeremiah Smith looks like he's gonna be great right from the get-go.

We definitely need an elite WR to team up with Bond next year so this seems like a good recommendation. Bond should be more polished with a year under his belt; so the passing game here can tap his speed more efficiently. Again, I haven't seen Tyson very much due to the region/market I'm in; and I don't think many in here have seen very much of him either. That could put Jerry Jeudy down to our 3rd WR in the dynamics giving him far more favorable matchups.
FWIW, there's far less elite caliber LTs in this draft. Looking at Jax's record (showing how close to round 2 that our 2nd 1st round pick will come at) - if we go Big Sexy at WR with our very 1st pick (it's another year without a Santa Claus in pass protection on the blind side edge for Cleveland QBs). I think there will still be very talented WRs on our doorstep with our 2nd first round pick. Then, we can draft our RT somewhere near the top of round 2. Just a thought dictated by supply and demand - doesn't necessarily mean I'm right. I'm trying to keep an open mind so I appreciate any ideas or recommendations you have for us.
Here's a link and a little cut and paste I found about Tyson on Draft Buzz: https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Jordyn-Tyson-WR-ArizonaState
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Medical history raises durability concerns after suffering a significant knee injury in 2022 and season-ending collarbone injury in 2024.
- Frame could use additional bulk to better withstand NFL punishment - 195 pounds on his 6'1" frame puts him in just the 33rd percentile for weight.
- Route tree needs refinement at the top end - occasionally rounds off breaks rather than creating sharp angles NFL corners will capitalize on.
- Can get tunnel vision as a runner, sometimes missing opportunities to use blockers effectively after the catch rather than trying to beat everyone solo.
- Needs to become more consistent against press coverage - occasionally struggles against physical corners who disrupt his release timing and footwork.
Scouting Report: Summary
Tyson enters the 2025 campaign with legitimate WR1 potential for the 2026 NFL Draft class. His explosiveness off the line and natural separation skills will translate immediately to the next level, giving him a floor as a dangerous second option in any passing attack. What pushes his ceiling into potential stardom is his rare blend of downfield playmaking and chain-moving reliability. The film shows a receiver who consistently wins in the intermediate areas while maintaining some ability to take the top off defenses - a combination that translates perfectly to today's passing-heavy NFL.
Tyson thrives from both slot and boundary alignments, making him an ideal fit for modern offenses that prioritize pre-snap motion and positional flexibility. Teams deploying heavy play-action concepts will particularly covet his ability to find soft spots in zone coverage and stack defenders on vertical stems. His basketball background shows up repeatedly when watching his tape - the footwork, body control, and spatial awareness allow him to box out defenders and high-point balls in contested situations.
If Tyson can stay healthy and build upon his remarkable 2024 season, we're looking at a first-round selection come April 2026. His combination of route-running savvy, contested catch prowess, and competitive toughness will make him an immediate contributor with Pro Bowl upside by year two. The medicals remain the lone significant question mark, but players this talented with this level of production against Power Five competition rarely slip past the first round regardless. Watching him dissect defenses with Sam Leavitt should be appointment viewing for draft enthusiasts this fall.
