    on the subject of affordability

a topic of which has come across the news cycles every time theres a lull in the left tard narrative,

people seem to forget theres a relationship with energy prices and overall economic health ..

as if the biden energy (up the ass dry) policy hadnt had the effect that it did ?

look back to 2018 - 19 before the covid scam, and youll see a booming economy JUST starting to take off.

So where are the energy prices now? trending to more affordability right?

and an economy that is bound to respond, like a couple of romanced and satisfied lovers

NOT a couple of pipe smokers at a blow and go gloryhole that the media and the left liken their expectations to ...

A year into his second presidency, Trump has been a mixed bag. Let's look at some of the campaign promises he made

      The Good

      • The Border
        • The uncontrolled migration that the Biden admin allowed has significantly improved by actually enforcing immigration laws
        • Treating drug runners as military invaders has been a major deterrent to the drug trade via the Caribbean
      • Crime
        • Trump wielding the National Guard in American cities, which in some cases was illegal, did seem to light a fire under Democrat mayors to do more to fight crime
        • Here's the Major Cities Chiefs Association annual report on crime. Cleveland and Chicago saw all forms of violent crime go down, and this trend has mostly applied across the country, whereas our northern neighbor's major cities have seen more increases. Any values in the table that are in red demonstrate an increase from 2024 to 2025.
      • Drug overdoses
        • There has been a sharp decline since he took over
      • Foreign Policy
        • Negotiated a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, leading to the living hostages being returned to Israel and stopping further annexation of Gaza

      The Bad

      • Foreign Policy
        • He hasn't done much to decrease American taxpayer money going to foreign wars, and in fact, has increased spending
        • The war between Russia and Ukraine continues, and in spite of more heavy-handed rhetoric, Trump doesn't really have any leverage against Putin there
        • He appears to have negotiated an exit with Maduro and claims to have captured them this morning. Creating a power vacuum in Venezuela is going to create more refugees in our backyard.
        • He continues to rattle the saber with Iran as the Ayatollah weathers a potential regime change. Even Jeb Bush has stated this week how good a job Trump is doing on this topic.
      • Affordability
        • Inflation has slowed, but prices remain high. His posts on the affordability of Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas were just as deceitful as when Biden was doing it.
        • Passed the big beautiful (bloated omnibus) bill which significantly increased government spending.
          • NGOs mass importing a bunch of Somalians and Haitians into our communities wouldn't have flown under the radar so easily if we didn't have these massive, unreadable spending bills as the basis of our federal budget
        • Bailed out Argentinian beef farmers at the expense of our own

      The Ugly

      •  Freedom of speech
        • He has kowtowed to his Israeli-American oligarch donors on their crusade to label most things critical of Israel as "antisemitism"
        • Cancel culture continues and is encouraged against those who speak out against Israel's influence in US government
      • Bringing pedophiles to justice
        • Everything the administration has done about the Epstein files has been the complete opposite of what was promised

Thinking ahead to the midterms, Trump won bigly with zoomers, and now he is underwater with that voting bloc, mostly due to the current state of the economy, but also because they don't care that foreign conflicts seem to be a higher priority for this administration. If more isn't done about affordability, I expect the Democrats to regain control of Congress this year.

Sometimes I wonder, everyone cries about kings and dictators yet expect every single little thing to fall on Trump's shoulders.

There's a massive system of gov't, agencies and laws.

One second everyone expects him to round up a posse and make things happen then turn around and cry cause he's blowing up drug smugglers invading our country.

He has to delegate to a great degree and there's only so many people in the pool he can choose from.

This includes me, I'd like to know why we still have corrupt judges, why any pedo ring isn't being annihilated to every degree, why corrupt politicians aren't getting exposed and then buried, why aren't illegals being deported at light speed, why have colleges become cesspools where a single man can't have open debate, why are we celebrating muslims that are trying to destroy our culture, why is ground beef nearly triple the price, have we heard about gov't following through eliminating all the waste Doge was exposing, why isn't hellfire raining down on these Somali criminals....??

I'd like to know, is Trump trying to do his best or is he just covering up for people close to his circle? Don't get me wrong, Trump is sill better than any Dem candidate and most Repubs. Getting back to democratic control in our gov't is only going to bring this country down at warp speed.

I get what you're saying but why does this fall under foreign policy? This war was already raging when he took office. You failed to mention all the wars he stopped or deals he made, including tariffs. Which of course we may see the effects more of this year, hopefully good.

He did what needed done, should he have allowed them to continue running drugs into our country because of a 'power vacuum'? And how does one correlate a vacuum to refugees? Which I agree, would be bad but that can be controlled.

I figured Vapor would whine about Israel again.

What criticism of Israel is valid? WHAT?

Which lends itself to the conclusion - that invalid criticism of Israel

        IS anti-Semitic.

Pres Trump has only been president for about one year, and whining that all problems haven't been solved

is very much nonsense, when no whining occurred about prices etc for the twelve years of obaMao and biden/obaMao.

The epstein files are being released, it isn't all up to him. he isn't a dictator, you know, Vapor.

Gas prices are way down, it takes time to revamp our oil production, coal production/energy creation. It takes far more than just 11 months to fix the dramatic problems left behind by obaMao/bideen deep corrupt state leftism.

The Argentina deal was a short term fix to keep prices from exploding because of the long term damage to our own beef industry.

Every damn thing obaMao/biden hacks did, was for political advantage, regardless of how it would damage our country.

          Agreed.

I get what you're saying but why does this fall under foreign policy? This war was already raging when he took office. You failed to mention all the wars he stopped or deals he made, including tariffs. Which of course we may see the effects more of this year, hopefully good.

What other topic would it fall under? I'm aware that he brokered peace in the brief India/Pakistan conflict and that his presidency presided over the console wars when Halo was finally released on Playstation, but these issues aren't all that important to Americans compared to Ukr/Rus and Isr/Gaza. He deserves a Nobel for getting some of those Israeli hostages home safely and keeping Netanyahu from annexing Gaza - they'll never give it to him, though.

He did what needed done, should he have allowed them to continue running drugs into our country because of a 'power vacuum'? And how does one correlate a vacuum to refugees? Which I agree, would be bad but that can be controlled.

He could have kept bombing the smugglers boating across the Caribbean. Capturing Maduro isn't going to put a dent in the drug trade. It's only going to create more opportunity for drug lords to assume some of the power that he held. Every single time we do this it creates refugees - as it turns out, one semi-competent strongman is often preferable to live under than a number of incompetent and competing warlords.

Iran has always been a threat and thankfully Trump neutralized their biggest threat. He's the only one that had the balls to stop their nukes and we should be thankful for that.

I'm more talking about the unrest over there this week. The strategic impact of the Fordham nuclear site bombing is still unknown. I am going to wager that it's going to have had less of an impact than Iran launching enough ballistic missiles to cost them 20% of their GDP.

I don't see any impact of this, especially to label under free speech. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't this in response to all the college 'free Palestine' crap that was harassing jewish people? Shame colleges themselves didn't stop it.

Respectfully, these issues are not important to your entire generation. The issues that you just talked about above as important to you don't mean a thing to the zoomers. To summarize their worldview - who cares about Ukraine/Russia and Israel/Gaza when nothing is affordable? And on top of that, if I try and criticize you for cozying up to Ukraine or Israel, you're going to try and make that illegal? This is how you get Mamdani. And if the GOP keeps it up, there will be more Mamdanis throughout the country.

The Biden administration is preparing to apply its "build back better" slogan to some of the most contentious agricultural regulations that fizzled during the Obama era. The rules — on organic practices, meatpacking abuses and the federal government's authority over water — stoked heated debate during the last Democratic administration.

I get your point, but I don't see how it's valid - the BBB negated the obaMaocare subsidies, negated the incredible

amount of money spent for illegals' freeloading lifestyles, and the blatant corruption is being shot down to a point pretty soon. You know the BBB was a great thing because most, nearly all dems voted against it.

Wasn’t the mass importing of Somalis under Obama?

                You missed a ton.

                Starting with foreign policy:

Summary of Strikes in Iraq (2025)
                • March 13, 2025: Significant airstrikes were carried out in Iraq as part of an ongoing mission to target ISIS (Daesh) remnants.
                • Mission Context: These operations have been described as a continuation of efforts to degrade terrorist organizations across their former strongholds in Iraq and Syria.
                • Frequency: Monitors noted that by mid-2025, the volume of strikes in theaters like Iraq and Syria under Trump had already rivaled or exceeded the totals from the previous administration's entire term.

                Broader Military Activity in 2025
Iraq was one of at least seven countries targeted by U.S. military strikes during the first year of Trump's second term. Other major operations included:
                • Iran: High-impact "bunker buster" bombings of nuclear facilities in June 2025.
                • Yemen: An intense campaign against Houthi rebels (Operation Rough Rider) between March and May 2025.
                • Somalia: A record number of strikes against al-Shabab, surpassing levels seen in the prior three U.S. administrations.
                • Venezuela: Recent major strikes and ground operations in early January 2026, which included the reported capture of President Nicolás Maduro.

It matters to everyone. I need to know when I retire I can still afford things as well. Zoomers need to be educated how flooding the country with foreigners raises prices on everything just as the higher energy costs does. I wonder how many of these zoomers are defending the fraud committed by Somalis as well.

I think we got Mamdani because of the illegal invasion, indoctrination in schools and media plus the past couple mayors were terrible. I'm sure what you're saying also plays a part.

Respectfully, these issues are not important to your entire generation. The issues that you just talked about above as important to you don't mean a thing to the zoomers. To summarize their worldview - who cares about Ukraine/Russia and Israel/Gaza when nothing is affordable?

It matters to everyone. I need to know when I retire I can still afford things as well. Zoomers need to be educated how flooding the country with foreigners raises prices on everything just as the higher energy costs does. I wonder how many of these zoomers are defending the fraud committed by Somalis as well.

And on top of that, if I try and criticize you for cozying up to Ukraine or Israel, you're going to try and make that illegal? This is how you get Mamdani. And if the GOP keeps it up, there will be more Mamdanis throughout the country.

I think we got Mamdani because of the illegal invasion, indoctrination in schools and media plus the past couple mayors were terrible. I'm sure what you're saying also plays a part.

No attitude in my posts btw, just throwing stuff out there.

The "you" wasn't directed at you, more the government. I thought your posts were fair.
