to be painfully blunt, someone’s rookie season who was during a time you could walk right to the gate at the airport isn’t an apt comparison. Friends was a great show but the jokes get pretty dated after almost 30 years later, ya know. same concept for making this argument.

That puts him at a 20.6 QBR through 6.5 games with one game remaining…But I’m sure stats are just garbage right? This is worse than Deshone Kizer just as an FYI.
and to your original point- if you can’t put together common sense and understand how categorically different playing QB in 1998 was compared to 2025 it’s not worth the time spelling it out man.

Sanders will never, ever be an NFL QB if he doesn’t speed up his internal play clock.
He needs to be quicker. He also needs some weapons and an O-Line. And some more reps.
The 3rd and 10 play on the game winning drive shows what we needed to see. Climbing up in the pocket, eyes staying downfield, and accurate throw to Bond for a first down sideline comeback…
A few plays later, a precise throw to Jeudy that was almost dropped. Clutch QB play.
I am glad we don’t have to waste a first rounder on Mendoza or Moore. -
Very happy for Szmyt... everyone wanted him out of Cleveland after the opener vs the Bengals, ended up having a very good season and redeems himself with a game winning FG vs... the Bengals.

Incorrect. I was in his corner. I said that he actually kicked the ball pretty well. He didn't miss 'em by much. I even said, Did you see what he said when the FG at the end of the game was staying outside the post? He said, Oh C'mon! I said that we should stick with him and find out what he's made of. He was extremely jubilant when he made the team over Hopkins. And a week later he's dogshit. I honestly felt that if he could man up and bounce back from that, then we might have ourselves a kicker. Kicking is partially mental. You've got to be mentally tough to block out the negativity.
Andre the Midget had a lot of loooong kicks to put through the goal post today...and he made 'em all...against the team that almost cost him his job 4 months ago. I was verry happy to see them carrying him after the game winner...because he manned up from week 2 on. I'm very happy for him also.
Today the family came over to celebrate Christmas and exchange gifts so I missed today's football (I was freakin' sick on Christmas). I got to see my brand new grand nephews! Myles got his sack! The Browns won and didn't fall any further down the draft order. It was a great day!
To the game: (which I finished watching the condensed version a little while ago)
Our offense was it's usual sucky. Shedeur wasn't very good (but how could he be). We couldn't run (as usual). It was horrible to watch. And today, no starting TE's either. And the defense...missing Schwesinger and both cornerbacks...were led by the DLine with pressures and tipped balls! Two defensive TD's. Wow! Tell me, Why can an offensive player do a backflip, forward flip, Whatever, into the end zone and not be penalized? But if a defensive player does it, it's a penalty. I don't get it.
The Browns finished the season with two divisional wins. I'm glad for the players that they can go into the offseason with a lighter weight on their shoulders. It's only 2 wins...but I bet it meant / means a lot to them. And they played hard, every game, while knowing that they had zero chance of making the playoffs. We'll see what Black Monday means to the Browns...but everyone, including the coaches, deserved a couple of wins to end the year with. Go Browns!

Because our round1 now won't get either Mendoza or Dante Moore, and I just don't think either of them is worth a package in a draft move-up, I'm hoping for some combination of 1 WR and 2 OT's in rounds 1 and 2 .

Great game to watch.. I'm glad Myles got his 'Myle"-stone record... A great team win to close out the season... I still don't think it was enough to save Kevy and his anemic offense... On to the draft...

Turns out the Ravens are the Browns on top of everything! Tomlin was smart enough to know he could blow a game to preserve a record.
at least really cool stuff for Szymt, and obviously Garrett, but so far away from winning like Big Ben and Bradshaw.

EDIT: Oh wait, I had her on my FFL team this weekend because the Buffalo Kicker Prater went out of the game after making 3 XPs. They scored two more TDs but had no kicker. So I missed out on 20 points. Plus Henry fell 8 yds short of giving me enough points to win as well. Hard to believe I was 2nd in 6 weekends including the last 3 of the season. Now yesterday was just plain bad luck. Henry had 112 yds at halftime and could not get me more than 14 more yds in the 2nd half. Now that is truly a heartbreaking way to lose a weekend between the kicker injury and Henry getting stuffed the 2nd half. F'n Lucy just stay in Cleveland dammit.?

your missing the point dude, you can either play or not and the surrounding cast means everything, I dont give a fuck if it was 1988 or 2025 football is still football

Just a shout out to Devin Bush who got Defensive Player of the Week for his 14 total tackles and 97 yard interception return against the Bengals!!
He was a big help to the defense all year long. - 2nd on the team with 125 tackles and lead the team in INT's with 3.
