Sorry, I didn't see this when I replied to a post in the Ravens Fired Harbaugh thread.  I googled the question is Kevin Stefanski interviewing with the Ravens and learned he's being interviewed by the Giants while the Browns are interested in the Ravens OC Todd Monken.  Sounds like a Berry idea to me...

Well, he is supposed to be the head of the search team.

I'm wondering when and if they'll get around to interviewing Schwartz....

They knew for some time that they were firing Stef after the final game.  Perhaps they don't like the look of interviewing him first.  ??

I'm surprised they're interviewing a DC with all the challenges on offense with NO WRs except Isaiah Bond showing upside, the worst group of OTackles, a rookie QB (with a backup rookie QB Berry drafted 2 rounds earlier).

All that said, the Seahawks have the top seed in the NFC and their Defense is impressive).  Another DC teams are interested in is Jesse Minter from the Chargers (who was the DC of Michigan's National Championship team before being a DC of 2 playoff teams for the Chargers).  He uses the same defense Seattle HC Mike Macdonald brought to his team (now Coordinated by Aden Durde).  FWIW, our 1st pick Mason Graham (at #5 overall) excelled in that scheme.

Interesting question because HC would be a promotion from a DC position.  All they need to do is set up a meeting and ask - are you interested in a promotion?  If so, explain what it is and discuss it.  They should already know everything about how he leads men; but it is the Browns....

  • Tommy Rees will be interviewed on Thursday.

  • Here we go.  This is what's been missing.

  • Any chance whatsoever of even getting Harbaugh to come in for an interview?

He’s been around long enough and would have enough familiarity to say No…to which a meeting would follow if the Browns responded with money and talk of control.

when you hear names like Pitcher and Durde we should know better at this point that Harbaugh, Gruden, Belichick aren’t walking through the doors

  • Hire John Harbaugh

  • Anyone expecting our Assistant HC to get an interview?  🙂

PPpfffttttt he be lucky to get a high school job

  • I'm sure jimmuh wants harbaugh just as much as browns fans do. Problem is why would he want the browns more than the giants or falcons or a year of vacation.

  • A few things move the Browns down the order of desired landing spots for coaches:

    1)  Reputation of ownership and front office.

    2)  No established QB.  And not in draft position to go get a shiny new one.

    3)  The worst weather of the bunch.

...my thing is that if we hire a DC other than Schwartz as HC, we'll probably lose Schwartz.
