Cal... What makes this thread's subject "fake". Please explain

  • I think there’s a manufactured sense of urgency to break and share “news” that has turned a lot of people into morons. And it’s not that they’re morons, they’re just far too interested in sticking it to the other side that they don’t bother with patience.

I think those people will look back on it in 10-20 years and realize how silly it is.

Yeah, there is some truth to what you're saying, but I would argue that describes every streamer/influencer to a "tee".  I don't think it really discredits any of his Minnesota videos, but he does seem to be trying to capitalize on the spotlight.

In fact, I would suggest there was nothing nefarious about this video, just a likely erroneous, isolated clip.  The only reason it appears to be biased is because it's in California.  This is low budget, more polite, Michael Moore style journalism.

But I give him his due, it takes stones.

For sure. In the idealistic political world that only exists in my head, this Nick Shirley guy should have gotten a medal yesterday. Wasn’t he the guy that blew the lid off the Minnesota daycare fraud? That’s a big deal.

And yeah, spotlights are warm and bright and how do you keep them? I wish that was less important to influencers, but if wishes were fishes…

He didn't blow the lid off of anything. He showed up to a daycare that wasn't yet open, with a whole camera crew, asking to see children, and was turned away. Is there fraud happening? Absolutely. An American white lady was already convicted of masterminding the scheme. But I'd be very cautious in taking anything Nick or people like him make at face value.

Some of these guys are intelligent but grifters. Some are morons. Some are moron grifters. It all depends.

  • then there are moron grifters who lay eggs on this forum most of the times they post.....

    Oh please.

The idea that that this particular daycare may not have been open yet is inconsequential.

The fact is that there was substantial daycare fraud, which you or anyone knew anything about until Nick Shirley made it public.

You should be giving kudos to the guy for that if you’re as anti fraud as you claim to be.

Outrage? I'm providing evidence for the guy being a moron grifter as others have celebrated his work on here.

You going out of your way to respond to literally every post I make... Now that's outrage

    Well duh.

That must mean what I have to say highly refutes your statement.

So what about my post just prior to that one?
No comment? Then it must mean “I won”. Your words.

He didn’t? I admit l don’t pay the closest attention to things that are NIMBY (not in my back yard) but he seemed to be front and center when the fraud news broke in MN.

I suppose spreading awareness is helpful but maybe not medal worthy.

The scam was already uncovered. You can go check local news stories, etc. and see the dates. That's how he knew to even to there in the first place. He isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer if you watch interviews of Shirley

His video was picked up and boosted by MAGA influences to help push the admin's rhetoric. Which made it his most successful video. Seeing that, he's keeping the grift alive with voter fraud nonsense like in the article I posted here. Shit that is debunked just by looking up...

  • Nobody was doing a thing until he exposed it.

    Probably still not doing anything.

Funny how a huge fraud is uncovered and woody is more worried about someone getting credit for exposing it. Way to miss the point.

The left is the king of grift, climate sucker.

No one is missing the point here more than you, and your post proves that ...

And there is no grift more powerful than the right wing grift. It's like QVC for old people mixed with those that make their personality their politics. It's a lucrative combination. Go to any Trump rally and see the merch. Look at all of the right wing networks that have popped up to help keep old people mad. Fucking LindelTV is a thing.

You don't know what a grift means apparently.

    Merch isn't a grift.

Making up a scare like global warming is a grift.
