Imagine trusting Elon on anything hahaha
And we absolutely will need UBI, I posted on it years ago. Just don't believe it because Elon said it. Listen to actual experts. Not the guy that employs them.

Emulating conscience is not legitimate conscientiousness.
Oct 28, 2025The claim that so-called artificial intelligence (AI) can gain consciousness is on the verge of becoming mainstream. The thesis of this conceptual study is simple: There is no such thing as ...************************"Consciousness refers to the state of being aware of and able to think about one's own existence, thoughts, and surroundings. It encompasses all experiences, sensations, and perceptions that an individual is aware of at any given time." -

Elon Musk has significantly impacted the world by accelerating the transition to electric vehicles (Tesla), revolutionizing space exploration with reusable rockets (SpaceX), and developing satellite internet (Starlink). He has also advanced neurotechnology (Neuralink) and invested in AI and transportation, aiming to solve long-term, existential risks to humanity.
Key inventions and technologies developed under his leadership to help people include:Medical & Assistive Technology (Neuralink)
Brain-Computer Interface (BCI): Neuralink is developing an implantable, wireless chip designed to help people with paralysis or severe injuries (such as quadriplegia or ALS) control computers, smartphones, and robotic limbs directly with their thoughts.
"Telepathy" Implant: A specific, coin-sized implantable device designed to restore autonomy to individuals with unmet medical needs.
"Blindsight": A project intended to eventually help blind people regain sight.

Sustainable Energy & Transportation (Tesla)
Electric Vehicles (EVs): Tesla has revolutionized the auto industry by producing high-performance electric cars (Model S, 3, X, Y) to accelerate the global transition to sustainable energy.
Solar Power Systems: Through SolarCity (acquired by Tesla), Musk has pushed for the adoption of solar panels to reduce pollution and lower energy prices.
Energy Storage (Powerwall/Powerpack): These battery systems allow homes and businesses to store energy from solar or wind sources for use at night, increasing energy independence.

Digital & Connectivity
Starlink: SpaceX’s satellite internet constellation aims to provide high-speed, low-latency internet to remote and underserved areas across the globe.
PayPal: As a co-founder of X.com, which became PayPal, Musk helped create a secure, accessible online payment system.

Future Technologies
Optimus (Tesla Bot): A humanoid robot designed to perform dangerous, repetitive, or boring tasks, with the future goal of assisting with household or industrial chores.
Reusable Rockets (SpaceX): By developing rockets that land and are reused, SpaceX aims to drastically reduce the cost of space transportation and enable future space colonization.

I watched the clip in the OP. I also heard a recent radio interview of a guy who was in the know on the latest AI haps.
The gist of what he had to say was AI has already advanced to the point where it’s programming itself. It’s progressing exponentially.
I like the guy’s ideas in the clip. I don’t think a welfare society will work.
Do you guys remember the first 20 minutes of the first Matrix movie? The first version of the Matrix was a utopian society where people wanted for nothing, and it was a disaster. The machines had to scrap it and start over with a more realistic version of life.
That made a lot of sense to me. Without purpose life is hollow, and people will seek to fill that void with some sort of struggle because that’s human nature.
